Customer Rating: Summary: Sony PlayStation 2 Console Comment: when this ps2 come i could not what to play on it i was on it all day so thank you for selling IT TO ME.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great console. Comment: My first real game console as I was only introduced to gaming in 2000 when it came out.
I have had 100s of hour with this console, and so have many others, as with over 120 Million sold, it is by far the best selling console of all time.
The console was the first in the "seventh" generation of gaming consoles, out selling the xbox by more than 4x, it is truly an amazing piece of enginerring.
the games for this console is great, with backwards capability with the ps1 games, you have over 1000 titles to choose from, many will of course suit your taste.
I would recommend this for a first console for anyone from 7-14 years old, or anyone in fact. My favourite game so far has definately been GTA San andreas.
I loved this console, and Am going to upgrade to the PS3, to make the most of my gaming experince.
Hope that this review has helped you.
Customer Rating: Summary: Really like it Comment: I really like this game console, but the reason I didn't give it 4 stars was that there is still so much room for improvement. The Playstation 3 has made some of these improvements, but I haven't got one, because they don't have any games out for them yet that I want, and also at the moment they are very overpriced.
The gameplay:Some of the games for this machine are very fun, and another great thing about it is that you can still play the Playstation 1 games, which aren't great, but there are a few very good ones. Overall, the gameplay is the best thing about the machine, and it surpasses everything else like the graphics ( which are quite good ),etc.
I recommend this, because it is definitely worth the cheap price that they are selling it for, and it is very fun aswell as that.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great and Fun Comment: The playstation 2 is a good console. The game's were very good. The graphics were better than the playstation one also it had more games. The graphics were great and good. The sound's were just a little better that the playstation one. The gameplay in most game was a lot better.
The playstation 2 is good fun if you want a simple easy console this is the one.
Customer Rating: Summary: Silver Sony PS2 Comment: I am writing this review in regards of the Sony Playstation 2 console
Well to be honest, the PS2 has so far, been the most reliable console i have ever had which comes alongside my gamecube. So far, not a single problem apart from the fact that i have a clicking problem when i insert Playstation 1 games into the DVD tray and sometimes CD'S will not work, but not a problem because i have a radio with a CD drive which i use frequently and i have a small PS1 so i can switch in an instant. These simple flaws dont even come close to the amount of fun i have had and the performance i have recieved from this console. I first bought my PS2 four years ago now and still play it today, it is now sitting beside my latest consoles(just my Gamecube and Xbox 360), although i heard negative feedback from the PS2, i still went ahead and bought it, and was that a good choice or what?
The Sony PS2 is a great console for those who are looking for a cheaper alternative to the 'HD' market, or if you are wanting to look for a cheaper gift for you or your family. The price is dirt cheap, the games are definately inexpensive, it is easy to use, it has a DVD drive, a CD drive, 2 USB ports and compatible with PS1. A great starter pack for those new to games or to those exploring.
Finally, if you are looking for a cheap console with quality, lastability, reliability, multiple compatibility and power, without spending a fortune on the latest games, buy a PS2. It is the most popular console after all and has character.

At the heart of the PlayStation 2 is the 128-bit Emotion Engine processor, which combines lightning-fast gameplay and unprecedented graphics power with DAT-quality stereo sound. The system was designed as an improvement on the original PlayStation's design; the disc-based software and Dual Shock 2 controllers will be immediately familiar to PlayStation devotees. Also, owners of the original PlayStation need not discard their existing game collection, because the PS2 is designed to be compatible with the software for the original PlayStation. The PS2 builds on its home-entertainment value by doubling as a DVD player, which allows it to play thousands of feature-length movies and other video programmes, and outdo the VHS format in both audio and video quality. Most DVD movies allow you to select alternate audio tracks, supplemental footage and a host of extra features. Like the original PlayStation, the PlayStation 2 also will play audio CDs. The PlayStation 2 was designed with future expandability in mind. The unit comes with two USB ports and a Type III PCMCIA expansion slot--the latest standards in PC communications. It also comes with Sony's own i.Link interface, which can connect it to a variety of high-tech Sony products--from digital cameras to notebook computers. Read our PS2 Hardware Guide
