Customer Rating: Summary: Dance Mat Comment: I recieved the dance mat as a christmas present and have not been able to use it properly as I don't have any games to go with it! I am after a game called 'Street Dance' to go with it as even though it is meant for an eight point pad, you can also use four! The dance mat looks very good quality and it is so easy to set up. All you have to do is take it out of the box and put it in the slot! I have tried playing on it through other games though you need a controller for them as the are not made for a dance mat! I am sure this is EXTREMELY good quality and will work very well with whatever games I end up getting!
Customer Rating: Summary: Excellent--but disposable Comment: Generally speaking, I highly recommend dancing games for the PS2--they're great ways to get fun exercise, they make excellent party games, and they hone your sense of rhythm. The question is, which game should you get, and which dance pad?
Since this pad doesn't come with a game, I'm going to ignore the software question, and focus on the hardware.
I bought a Logic 3 Dance mat for my PS3 in January 2006. It's lasted pretty well, but it's slowly gotten a little more ragged around the edges. Now--after a little less than two years of being used twice a week--it seems to be on its last legs; I have to step on the arrow buttons just right to get them to register.
Two years of use isn't bad for an item whose function is to get stepped on repeatedly and energetically. Having read a variety of reviews, it seems that the Logic 3 Dance Mat is actually one of the more resilient options for a dance pad.
So I would certainly recommend the Logic 3 Dance Mat--you just need to realize that you will need to replace it occasionally. If you want a model you don't have to replace, you'll need to spend considerably more money and get a hard metal dance pad. (I'm not sure if Amazon sells them, but you can get them from many retailers.)
One last tip: it's tempting to store your dance mat by folding it up--but that will make it go bad MUCH quicker. If at all possible, store it flat. (It's thin enough that it slides easily under an average sofa.)
Customer Rating: Summary: Dunce Mat Comment: Ordered 2. One was faulty and the other wouldn't work unless you plugged it in while the game was running.
Customer Rating: Summary: The grooviest looking dancemat around Comment: I bought this dance mat a long time ago, probably one or two years ago now. It's really good, not much different to other mats, however after all this time it has started to not work as well as it did, and even if I press some of the pads, the game claims I haven't! Overall, it's a good buy... but beware!
Customer Rating: Summary: A good buy Comment: I bought this for my 10 year old daughter and she loves it! It doesn't move on our wooden floor and the padding makes it very comfortable to use. This is definitely a good buy and very good value for money. So buy this now!!!!!
