Summary: Great to get into the game!
Comment: If you've seen the Dancing Stage game in the arcade but have been too embarassed to get up there in public, this is just what you need. Get to practice in your own home with this PSX mat. The mat is great in that it's not too expensive and works fine, although more experienced players might find that after a while a soft mat like this might not cut it.

For beginner and intermediate players, there's nothing better in this price range, the mats generally respond well and are the same size as the Arcade pads. However, these mats have a habit of bunching up and moving around the room when used on harder or faster songs. They can be prevented by taping the thing to a wooden board, but as-is, experienced players will find this thing hard to literally impossible to play on. No-one likes to hit "Game over" because of a poor mat, as opposed to poor skill.

If you've never played before, this mat is recommended, and it will certainly last long enough for you to become good enough to play in public confidently.

Summary: GOOD FUN AND GREAT FOR EXERCISE
Comment: This is great if you are the kind of person who loves dancing and having a laugh at the same time. However get a good game to go with it or you'll find yourself getting bored with it. I recommend the "Dancing Stage" game and the "Britney's Dance Beat" as you can have a range of different modes like challenges, practices and even aerobics mode.

If you're young and are after a laugh and cute characters (or keeping the kids the entertained for hours) then the jungle book one has a story mode which is really good!

The dance mat is one of the best peripherals for the playstation that was ever invented. It is easy to use, although shouldn't be mixed with alcohol or used in small spaces as the groove can take control but your body won't be under control!!!! Anyone can use it and have a great time whether just watching or taking part.

My advice... get it, you'll be glad you did!

Summary: Dated enjoyment
Comment: This is a good thing to have. For a couple of days at least. After you have played it for a couple of dances and got your mates and family to embaress themselves the novelty wears out and it'll just be another one of those items that is thrown to the back of the closet. Unless you are serious about dancing and really enjoy these from past experiences or just like to have a laugh with your mates then yes get this. However if this is just a thing you might like i would say save your money.
