Customer Rating: Summary: Be Careful Comment: The batch that I am using have been rather awful. I've had to purchase a CD recovery software package to get my pictures back. Not all of the CD's in the 100 pack have been corrupted but a vast proportion have.
Customer Rating: Summary: Not what they seem Comment: I've been using 43411 Verbatim CD-R's for over 2 years now. I've used hundreds converting my extensive record collection onto CD with only one or 2 failure's. They truly are the best CD-R I've found. However this last batch have produced 9 coasters & I haven't even used the full hundred yet. The disks arrive in different packaging to that pictured with no mention of Super Azo on the packaging. Verbatim make a big thing out of this & it's usually featured if the disc complies. Also all my past Super Azo disc's have a blue hue, these are just silver. When I run a disc thru' Nero it reports the manufacturer as 'Prodisc'; a proprietary manufacturer.
Either Verbatim have started outsourcing their disc manufacture or these are counterfeit. Whatever, I will be sourcing my Verbatim discs elsewhere in future.
Customer Rating: Summary: BEWARE OF FAKES AND FALSE INFORMATION Comment: Firstly no-one can dispute the quality of genuine Verbatim discs but this offering from amazon leaves a lot of question marks.
1) these discs are not super azo as stated in the amazon review- they are not even standard azo - it is not marked anywhere on the package as it is on other Verbatim discs.
2) they are labelled as being made in China ( immediately alarm bells begin ringing )
3) despite claiming they are capable of 52 x speeds on the review here and also the discs themselves, they are most certainly not. Having checked them in my CD burner and with the Nero 8 Info Tool and also dvdinfopro they have a maximum burn speed of 32 X.
4) More worryingly, the information of the manufacturer clearly states in both software programs that they are manufactured by Ritek ! Since when did Ritel make CD-Rs for Verbatim ?
There is something most definitely wrong here
Customer Rating: Summary: Great so far ... Comment: I have used about half of the CDs in this 100 pack and so far have only had one dud and I think that was more to do with my PC freezing up than the poor old CD-R!
So far I am very pleased with the quality and reliability of these discs and am hopeful that I will be as pleased with the second half of the pack as I have been with the first!
Customer Rating: Summary: Great Quality Comment: Not one coaster out of all the ones I've burned since buying this excellent value spindle from Amazon. Can't ask for more than that, can you?
