Summary: Why has it been discontinued?
Comment: I love ipod mini's! Some of my friends have them and they are amazing, i decided to get a ipod for my birthday (next month) and i was shocked to find that the mini's have been discontinued!!! The nano's are nice but scracth to easily and id love a ipod mini! How can they discontinue such a great item?!

Comment: Excellent product. I think the 4gb is enough, nobody could have LEGALLY got more than that. Only problems are with battery life which is only 8 hours but it lasts me a day and its no problem to change it once I get home. The other problem is the earphones, they look great but they sound awful. Buy ipod mini but buy it with some quality earphones!

Comment: I received my ipod today and am allready enjoying listening to music on it. It is so easy to set up and the quality is fab, i can see me having plenty of use out of it! I recomend it to annyone, the pink is really nice colour 2 :)

Comment: The iPod mini (not a mini ipod, please don't call it that!) is a smart little mp3/ACC player. It looks beautiful, especially in pink and green, and it has the iPod's reputation to boost its on to the worldwide market.However, there are a few problems:
+ price- for £40 more you could more than triple the storage
+ It doesn't take WMAs. This is fine if you have all your music on mp3s but kind of a pain if you don't.
+ Battery life. It only has 8 hours of battery (most users find there is even less) and the battery has to be replace professionally every six months or so depending on usage.
+ The headphones are rubbish
However it does have some great features like games, and the iPod will appeal to a lot of people.
To those prepared to look beyond the pretty design, I would recommend the Creative Zen Micro 5GB player, which has a GB more storage, holds WMAs, is generally cheaper and comes in 10 different colours (pink, dark blue, silver, black, red, light blue, orange, white, purple and lime green).
