Customer Rating: Summary: WOOW These Speakers Will Blow Your Mind!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Comment: Logitech Z5500 Digital PC Multimedia Home Theatre Speaker System - 505 Watt (Total)
These speakers are brilliant extremely loud an when you turn it up full volume if u keep turning the nob one-half turn (180 degrees) then the LCD screen will show boost 1, then your in boost mode and you will not be dissapointed!!
The bass from these speakers is just crazy! they shake the whole house. I surggest anybody with a ps3 buys a optical cable for the there sound to run through the differnce is insane, i will be upgrading my sound card for my pc very soon
Dont think about buying this product just go for it!
Customer Rating: Summary: Long term owner Comment: I bought these speakers back in October 2006. I just came back to review them as I feel I owe them this!
I was actually reminded to do this as the other day the time delay fuse blew for the first time, when the power was resupplied after the house's switch tripping.
This isn't really a problem though as you can get 10 fuses from Maplins for 2.69.
The other comment is that a few months ago the control pod stopped working intermittently, so I contacted Logitech and they replaced the set very quickly. Wow, great service!
One thing to note is that the control Pod can sometimes crash, but this is rare and fixes itself quickly.
So I love my z5500s, the sound quality is incredible when connected to PS3 via optical, and PC via Coax for stereo/DD and 6 channel for games.
Now I just have to remember to moderate the volume (and turn the sub right down!!) so that I don't get any more letters from the people next door in the terrace! Can't wait to move to a detatched house :)
Thank you Logitech.
Customer Rating: Summary: super, smashing, great! Comment: Bought this to replace my sons first low watt bedroom set up and what a difference. He watches Sky HD, and plays both PS3 and 360 all of which sound fantastic, not over the top.
As everyone else has said though, the sub woofer size takes your breath away, honestly, you cannot prepare yourself for it, it's massive.
Also, the warning on the fuses, mine have only blown once, but are easy to replace.
Customer Rating: Summary: Best sound I have ever heard from speakers this size Comment: Ok, well yes the subwoofer is a beast, but the quality and depth of the sound and bass it produces is nothing short of FANTASTIC. The price is quite high, however as I brought my set second hand this wasn't such an issue, however based on the quality they produce, they can't be faulted and would have been well worth the expense at full retail value.
I have the speakers wall mounted around my room, with my PS3 connected via Optical, and my PC via the SPDIF for full digital sound and it will really blow your mind how powerful this equipment is! For general use the volume stays at around 2 - 3 bars, any higher and things really do start vibrating off shelves. One small gripe I do have is that I have already gone through two fuses. They are incredibly simple to replace, just a twist, push button on the back of the sub. I believe this was due to the fact I was using a RF remote control power breaker as both times the fuses blew was during switch off / on. Since removing the power breaker, switching off the speakers (with remote or on the control panel) and THEN switching off at the wall has since solved this problem.
Works flawlessly with my Logitech Harmony One remote control.
