Customer Rating: Summary: It was reasonable Comment: I have had these speakers for about 2 years now and the bass is not that loud, it doesnt realy give the music that thump and when you put the volume to full you can hardly hear the bass so over all id say its ok for small rooms.
Customer Rating: Summary: Update to the below reviews Comment: This speaker system sound the nuts, and very cheap for the money. I use my pc as my entertain ment centre (dvd's & music) and love various music tastes and it plays all crystal clear. Yes the bass on minimum is still loud, but anyone with a half decent sound card (even my cheap one had this option) can turn down the woofer volume via the soundcard speaker setup. Again yes the rear speakers are too quiet, yet again these to can be turned up via the soundcard speaker setup. I have not had any problems with the speakers picking up french/german radio so a guess this is a freak occurance. All in all i am more than happy!! :o)
Customer Rating: Summary: Quality sounds Comment: This speaker set is wonderful value for money. It was easy to set up & doesn't look too overpowering when they're set up in the room. The sound quality is very clear and the bass is especially good. I use it mainly for movies but it is stunning when you hook it up to a games console, really sounds like you're involved. Great piece of kit considering the price.
Customer Rating: Summary: Not Enough Balance... Comment: When using these with the gaming adapter (it was included), the bass was significantly louder than any treble. Although the speakers and sub are both capable of fantastic sound without distortion - I would only recommend these if you are a bass freak or you are going to use these on a 5.1 computer/equalizer so you can raise the volume of the satellite speakers.
Customer Rating: Summary: OK I suppose Comment: Need to have thick walls for these and they may not be future proofed.
The sub woofer is very powerful, I've had it on bare minimum volume setting for 2 years and the neighbours are still banging on the wall while I cannot hear the movie properly.
The rear speakers seem too quiet in relation to the front, this is a huge let down for me.
You do not need the speaker system turned on to use the headphone outlet, but not all headphones will work on it. I'm using Sony V-150
On connecting them to my month old Quad PC with HD audio, same codecs and software they sound metallic; if there is rain in a movie the whole scene is ruined unless I set the PC to stereo mode.
Great budget speakers though, bought for £40 from PC world online.
I've seen similar reviews on the newer Logitech models that the rear's are still quiet so after 2 years of tweaking I won't be returning to this brand.

Plug the Logitech X-530 into your PC, music player, DVD player, or even your PlayStation or Xbox game console (Requires game console adaptor) and immerse yourself in clean, crisp, consistent surround sound from your games, movies, and more. The high-tech subwoofer adjusts itself dynamically to deliver distortion-free bass. And the five wall-mountable satellite speakers use Logitech's patented FDD2 technology to eliminate the uneven sound response created by conventional dual-driver designs. The result: a cl...
