Summary: iPod Nano 1Gb - Black
Comment: I'm totally amazed at the pure size of it and how much it can hold, music wise, as it can aslo store your contacts from Outlook or Outlook Express in .vcf file format (business cards). I'm totaly happy with mine but I had no clue how upload songs manually through iTunes but I figured that out now and I also had no clue about how to turn it up or down, but, yes I got that sorted as well.

Comment: Recently purchased a 1GB Nano and here are my opinions. First over all I was sold immediately on the beautifully presented package which the iPod and it's accessories came in. The object looks and feels absolutely wonderful but having read about how easily the iPod scratches I bought a case immediately. Software loaded without a problem and the iPod connected and started charging (Apple do recommend USB 2.0 and SP2).The actual amount of available space available on the memory was 892MB. So you lose a fair amount. I imported my CDs as AAC format which was the default setting. I will probably get around 230 tracks on the iPod with tunes running from 3 mins to a few that go on for about 11 mins. Navigation and operation is a doddle. However I originally owned a Sony NW-MS70 and I have to say that the sound is far better than the Nano or at least if you like it warm and bassy. I've tried changing the EQ levels on the iPod but the headphones start crackling (R&B or Bass Boost). I suppose you could argue that the iPod has a more neutral or purist sound. But I suppose that depends on how you like to listen to your music. Overall though I'm happy with the iPod and the software in particular (a week point with my Sony Sonic Stage).

Comment: my ipod nano came on the 19th of may 2006 and i am happy with the superb quality of it.It has a nice coloured screen and hold plenty of songs and photos. It came with a black case, but if you purchased the white nano you would recieve a white case, which helps prevents scratches on the screen. The size of it is very small. Also we are very satisfied with the delivery service

Summary: Great!
Comment: Superb. I thought I'd be the last person to buy an iPod and listen to compressed digital music... but wow.... I am impressed by the simplicity of its operation and its portability.
What sounds flat (I'm a dedicated HiFi nut) in the quiet of the home, suddenly sounds amazing when used in its natural habitiat (i.e. not the home)and combined with external noise.
Major Plus point.... the sleeve that stops the headphones tangling... total genius!!
Major negative point.... the fact that for an extra £60 I could have got the 4GB version (after being sure that 1GB would be enough)!

Comment: Here is my complete review of the iPod Nano, section by section.

LOOKS AND IMAGE: 100%
"The iPod Nano is made for people who want a mp3 player but one with style and a good image as well. Well, the iPod Nano is certainly the mp3 player for you then if you are like that. No seriously, this is one cool looking mp3 player and if you don't love it as first sight, there's something really uncool and wrong about you. All my friends wanted one as soon as they caught the first glimpse of mine".

SONG CAPILBILITY: 87%
"Okay, the iPod Nano 1GB is not going to hold 15000 songs, not even half a thousand even - it will hold just 250 songs at max. But for most people like me, 250 songs is enough, but if you can, I would save up and get the 2GB version since that can hold 500 songs and is only thirty pounds more. Still if you are on a budget and don't want to spend over £100, then the 1GB iPod Nano cannot be told apart from it's 2GB and 4GB brothers apart from one sign on the back stating it is a 1GB"

SOUND QUALITY: 98%
"Only the iPod Video's sound quality prevents this cool little mp3 player from getting 100% here. The sound quality is better than my £80 stereo that I have at home and I prefer to listen to the Nano sometimes to the stereo! Only music purists will pick out the slightest of imperfections".

OTHER FEATURES: 83%
"The iPod Nano's other features are mostly just gimmicks, but it can act like a flash pen so that you can transfer documents, photos from one pc to another. The other features include a security screen lock, a hold button for when you are playing the Nano, world clock times, games that include Music Quiz and Soltaire and Photos which you can view on the actual Nano!"

RELIBILITY: 67%
"This is where the Nano falls short. I have had numerous problems with my iPod Nano including the screen freezing when in 'hold' mode and tracks not copying correctly onto the Nano from iTunes. One of my music tracks keeps annoyingly skipping onto the next halfway through and I haven't worked out how to fix it".
