Customer Rating: Summary: Klipsch i groove is great!!! Comment: I got a Klipsch i groove for my birthday last year, and was blown away by the sound quality for it's size. The base comes out of no where!! And the sound is very nicely balanced and can fill any room evenly.
I compared it to the Bose ipod dock and I think that Klipsch completely blew them out of the water. The Bose system just doesn't deliver the base that the I groove does. I also think that for the money it's excellent value. It is also realy simple to opperate, just simply plug in and play.
The only down side to the i groove is the controls which only allows you to skip though tracks and not much else. It would be nice if they made a set of controls where you can fully control you i pod from the other side of the room. I my oppinion it is a nice, stylish bit of kit that looks as cool as it sounds!!!
Customer Rating: Summary: The IGroove is smoking Comment: Bought this device from Amazon, great sound, only problem after a year that the on off button disappeared inside the unit, so we had to use the remote. Today it decided to go up in smoke, a small fire started between the Igroove contacts and the Ipod destroying both units, unfortunately this happened three months out of warranty, the Ipod was 8 months old.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great sound, shame about the remote... Comment: I bought this product after reading the reviews on this site for the black version (I have a silver iPod and wanted them to go together). It's easy to use, reasonably portable - we took it on holiday with us in the box it came in - and sounds fantastic. Friends have a Bose SoundDock and this is definitely comparable.
However, as other reviewers have said, the remote control is next to useless. As far as I can tell, the one I received is only good for turning the volume up and down and then only if you're standing right in front of the machine, in which case, you might as well just push the buttons on the front of the unit. It's also really, really tiny. An integral slot or space on the unit in which to store the remote would have been very useful because it's going to get swallowed up by the house in no time.
Having said all that, if good quality sound at a reasonable price is what you're after, this is the one to go for.
Customer Rating: Summary: question Comment: can you buy speakers and if so are they wireless or wired and can someone reccomend the best to suit the IGROOVE???? We want to connect to another room???
Customer Rating: Summary: Fantastic sound, great buy! Comment: Klipsch brand was recommended by a friend who told me his brother did the pepsi challange in a shop (klipsch v bose) for sound quality and felt the klipsch system was better. I checked the reviews on Amazon and made the choice to go for the iGroove. I was not disappointed, absolutely brilliant sound quality. The only negative is the limited control ability of the remote and I'm only mentioning this as I don't have all my play lists set up, so I have to nip back and forth to my iPod if I want to change artist or anything, and the adaptor for the 3rd GEN iPod nano video is quite tight fitting, making gettting the iPod in and out of the system a bit fiddly. But overall, minor cons.... looks good, sounds even better.
