Summary: Very Good
Comment: Got this wheel as a christmas present, lived up to all expectations. Caliibrating took a bit of time as the windows software always shows wheel out of line when it is straight (though on GTR 2 it works fine). A good amount of choice when it comes to the force (works excellently). Can be very strong if you want it to.
Overal very impressed, hardware and software very good, another brilliant logitech product

Summary: Not disappointed
Comment: Having seen a few other wheels at friends' houses and for sale at car-boot sales, which all to be honest were 'placcy' and feeble-looking.

The Logitech Formula Force EX is superior in comparison. It has a good solid weight to it, and is obviously a better quality product from when you hold it in the box. The coloured parts of the wheel are rubber for better comfort and grip and the design is ergonomically sound.

Now to how it plays - tried it on NFS Carbon and had trouble keeping in a straight line! However, it comes with some tweaking software that helps you tweak the force feedback and calibration sensitivity settings, (although you need to play around a bit to see what each setting does as there is little explanation given) help you set individual settings for each driving game you have installed and it is a launcher too - allowing you to launch the game exe from there. So after setting it, NFS Carbon was playable but it is difficult to do well. I think I need to adjust more settings.
Flatout 2 works superbly! It is so fun to play with this wheel. I've just dug up all of my driving games to try out next so should be fun!!
Overall, I'm very happy with it. Solid, well-made and great fun. No regrets.

Summary: Great Performance on a Budget
Comment: I bought this having experienced a friend's playing GTR2. For what initially appears a more budget type wheel, it does not dissapoint!! Excellent force feedback and weight to the wheel; in fact, on a par with the Dual Force Pro, but a much cheaper proposition. Rubber grips on the side are superb, never had a problem unlike the early all-plastic wheels.
The pedals feel solid, if a little light to use compared to a real car (but there's no fluid so it's to be expected).

Paddles for gearshift are perfectly placed, my only gripe is that at times it's too easy to nudge the D-pad on the left of the wheel.

Bonus - designed for PC, but I managed to easily play Gran Turism 4 on my PS2 using the wheel, the only loss being the paddles not working on the back, but then you can't expect everything when there is another product specifically for the PS2.

In summary: superb product for the price, would recommended, especially for sims like GTR/GTR2, unless of course your budget stretches to the 3-pedal wheels out there.

Editorial Reviews:

Using Logitech's unique gas-assist injection molding technology, the wheel on the Formula Force EX has no seams or screws; letting you white-knuckle the rubber handgrips without squeaks, rattles, or flex. The one-piece rim feels like the real thing. Through Logitech's industry-leading high-fidelity force feedback technology, you get a solid, realistic racing experience like no other.Main Features:Feel the road: All the bumps, car handling and crashes--just as in real life!Control menu selections and chang...
