Customer Rating: Summary: Does what it says on the tin... Comment: and looks great but its too light and the hard edges can hurt the ear after a while. I think its because there isn't a good seal to the ear so one ends up pressing the ear piece a bit.
Either the ear piece volume should be higher or it should be more ergonomic.
Too light: rightly or wrongly in the day of the mobile phone one expects stuff of this size to have a particular weight. When I pick a phone up and its lighter than one might expect, it just doesn't feel right... illogical? Maybe, but thats the black art of product design for you!
That said it works and was ludicrously easy to set up.
Customer Rating: Summary: Fantastic little phone Comment: Wow- if only everything in life were this reliable and simple !!
I have got a couple of £60 VoIP Skype Dual Phones at home so I didn;t expect much from this little thing and I bought it as a cheapy to take away on business with my Laptop. What a great surprise I had - between getting it out of the box and using it, it took me about 5 minutes !!
Great sound quality, great build quality, great to install, great value for money..and for once a manufacturer has had the common sense to put a long enough lead on a USB device !! ...and guess what... it even comes with a volume adjustment button on the side of the phone that not even my 2 DUAl phones at home have got !!
Yes it's true - like other reviewers, after connecting, all my audio came through the phone speaker, but this reset itself once I rebooted my machine and checked that the Windows Audio default (use Windows Control Panel)was set to my external speakers and not the phone.
All in all - this phone is just great - go for it !!
Customer Rating: Summary: Awesome phone---But..... Comment: This is the way all consumer products should be done. Nice looking, better working, and cheap. Been using for 6 months now. Feels like I can use it for 10 years, and will work as fine.
The only but is that if your pc is the centre of your house (I live with my girfriend, we dont have tv,dvd player or Hi-fi) I would recommend to upgrade to wireless, because when you plug the phone to the pc, the sound of, let's say, a song playing in itunes, will be coming through the phone and not your speakers. That and everytime you finish you either live it hanging or roll the cable around the phone...not big deal
Customer Rating: Summary: Don't hesitate! Comment: I agree with the other positive reviews - this dinky little phone is the perfect Skype telephone! Straightforward to install, easy to use, crystal clear - I have used mine for about a month now and haven't had any problems.
Customer Rating: Summary: It just works Comment: I've been using this phone on Mac OSX for quite a while now and I'm very happy with it. Sound quality, design and functionality are all decent. When I call people with SkypeOut or receive a call via SkypeIn they aren't aware that I'm using an internet phone and I can hear the person at the other end very clearly. When making Skype to Skype calls the quality is even better and with this phone you may conclude that call quality is better than you get with normal landline phones.
It used to be the case that Mac OSX users couldn't make use of the extra buttons which integrate the phone with the Skype software, but this is no longer the case. It's now fully functional for Mac users.
Once small criticism might be that the ringer volume is very low but this need not be an issue because you can make Skype use your computer's speakers to output a ring-tone instead.
I wholeheartedly recommend this phone and believe that you're unlikely to be disappointed. Let's face it, it's not expensive.
