Customer Rating: Summary: Superb, and terrific value Comment: Lovely printer, good value, wifi works brilliantly.
I bought this to replace an aged 895CXi, and it hasn't disappointed in anyway. Quick, quiet, good output. Lovely to have a network printer at this price. I really can't fault it. I don't us it much for plain text - use mono laser for that - but anything mixed, or that I need in colour is dispatched really nicely. I do use inkjet paper to minimise bleed/spidering, and it's worth it.
Customer Rating: Summary: Beware the wifi facility Comment: After installing this printer relying on the wifi connection my computer had great difficulty in finding documents and the performance was slowed considerably. To pull up a word document would often take over a minute and I had to wait at least 20 seconds before a document printed. Eventually I decided to start again relying on the connection to the USB port. Uninstalling and reinstalling the programme became a nightmare and I had to call on my computer expert for help. The installation programme blocked and after running all night was only at 9%. With my expert's help I eventually managed to get the printer working again. I am delighted. My computer is far happier as well and documents print more or less instantaneously. I can still print from a laptop via wifi to the same printer, which is why I thought I needed to install the printer using the ethernet connection in the first place. So all's well that ends well.
Customer Rating: Summary: one of the best printers Comment: i bought this printer from amazon about 12 months ago still going strong the best printer i have bought and this is my 5th prnter in 4 years wireless is great its so good my uncle went and bought one then my cousin and even they would recommend it. One the best user friendly wireless devices out there.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great printer Comment: I am very pleased with this printer, the print it gives is excellent and the wireless capability is also good. The service from amazon is also first class.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great picture quality, fast and quiet. Comment: I'd owned an HP inkjet for about 8 years which had provided fantastic service, and although not actually dead was suffering from creaking old age. As it had been so reliable I was keen to buy another HP.
Although this is quite a large printer, it's clever design means it can sit on a bookshelf (the paper tray juts out) as the paper is fed in and out through the front.
Set up was simple and straight forward. Print quality is excellent and on normal mode with ordinary paper photographs are surprisingly crisp with good colour. Print speed seems fast compared with my old printer and it is quite quiet. It has a mode to make it even quieter but I have not needed to use this feature.
Printing 200 copies I had a minor paper feed problem, time will tell if this is an issue. I am conecting it via the USB and running Windows XP Home. After two months I am extreemly pleased with this printer which just sits on my bookcase doing its job quietly and efficiently. Unlike my Magicolour 2350 EN colour laser which is a beast.
