Customer Rating: Summary: Am I (and my kids) missing something here?? Comment: Some people rave about these supposedly realistic robotic puppies, which, now we have our own, has lead me to spend a long time on the internet trying to discover if this really is 'all it does'. Unfortunately for us, i think it is. We got it for my 8 year old who had been taken in by the TV adverts. He was bored with it within approximately 20 minutes. My 5 year old finds it a little bit more entertaining, but not an awful lot to be honest. The dog walks around (can not actually walk sideways, despite the box's claims), barks and whines, does a few 'tricks', and that really is it. It is nothing like a real puppy, other than it is quite annoying, and has extremely limited play value if you are an intelligent (or even not so-) 8 year old. and I can assure you my kids are not techno freaks with all the latest gadgets, so its not like they have seen loads of these supposed interactive toys. Very disppointed, and £40 approx poorer!!
Customer Rating: Summary: GREAT GREAT GREAT TOY BUY BUY BUY NOW Comment: THIS IS THE BEST ELECTRONIC TOY EVER. It is just like a real dog, minus the cuddly fur! it is just as loyal as a real dog, just as fun, it plays fetch and everything! Man, this is truly the KING of all electronic toys, no kidding. I was even thinking about e-mailing the AKC and telling them to make it a breed. 'the teksta' yes, oh yes. BUY THIS IF YOU CAN'T GET A REAL DOG IT IS JUST AS COOL

Meet Teksta the loveable, interactive robotic puppy! He can walk, bark, wag his tail and sleep making him the perfect companion. He loves being scratched behind his ears, and he comes with his own little bone that he munches on! Amazingly, the more you play with the adorable puppy, the friendlier he becomes and the more he learns! Teksta also has some more advanced functions, for example you can set him like an alarm clock to wake up at a certain time of the day! Fully interactive with your other Teksta doggie friends, they meet and greet each other just like real puppies! More fun and a lot cleaner than the real thing, Teksta is a brilliant companion for kids and grown-ups alike! Colours vary.
