Summary: Great DVD Player
Comment: When it comes to electronics Sony leads the way. This DVD player is very simple to use plus a great cost for a multi region player. Now I can play movies I have bought when on holiday in the USA. REcommend to anyone looking for a multi region player.

Summary: Fit for Scrap
Comment: I'd love to be able to review this product, but it broke after two uses. Wouldn't open or play. When it did work it was slower than I expected given the equivalent Sony model I had for the previous 8 years was fast as lightening, never stuck and also never made that annoying whirring noise.
I'm never buying Sony products again as this is the second thing I've had from them that has been inoperable within a week of purchase. Avoid at all costs, spend your money at Philips, Toshiba or Panasonic.

Summary: NOT MULTIREGION
Comment: Having read previous reviews, I was disappointed to find that my player wouldn't play multi-region DVDs. I will return it for a refund.

Summary: This is a brill dvd player
Comment: I have tested this dvd player and it is indeed a multiregion dvd player. It is great. And that it has Divx means lots of formats can be played. Easy to use, easy to set up - just plug in the scart lead and you are away. This is well worth the money!!!!

  • iLife '09: iPhoto, iMovie and GarageBand get a Macworld pimpin'

After announcing in its last fiscal year Apple had sold almost 10 million Macs, Apple announced at Macworld today the launch of iLife '09, and it includes a new version of iPhoto.

iPhoto now lets users organise photos using face-detection technology. After detecting a face, users can tag it with a name, then browse other photos featuring the same face. Should iPhoto get it wrong, you can tell it so, and remove the wrong person's photo from the list.

Also new in iPhoto is the ability to organise pictures by their location. So if your photos are geotagged with GPS location information -- say, Paris -- iPhoto will let you browse all the photos you've taken in Paris. No geotagged photos? No worries, since you can add place names yourself.

And with integration with Facebook and Flickr, photos tagged with your friends' names bring their tags with them when synced and downloaded to iPhoto.
