Customer Rating: Summary: Excellent product Comment: Hubby wanted a DAB radio - neither of us are technophobes, but which product do you choose if you don't want to spend the rest of your life working out how to use it!? Assessing reviews and considering the cost of the product, I chose this one. Really pleased - very user friendly and excellent reception. So good, I've just bought another 2 (as pressies)!
Customer Rating: Summary: Easy to use but poor sound Comment: Far from the 'great sound' mentioned by other reviewers, I find the sound lacking totally in treble. It's a muddy sound with no real clarity.
This is a shame as the radio works extremely well.
Customer Rating: Summary: Excellent Radio pity about the battery life and poor after service from Pure Comment: Well made radio with good quality sound. To claim that this radio will run for 35 hours on 6 size C batteries is completely untrue. You will be lucky to get 2to 3 hours. It does however run well off the mains.
I hope you never have to contact the Pure technical department for help or advice because you will not get it and this despite the promises made on their website. I shall think twice in future before buying their products again.
Customer Rating: Summary: It's a Dad Radio that works. Comment: Dab radio and FM radio.
It's not overloaded with functions, is quite lightweight, but does a good job at playing the music.
You won't get thunderous bass, but you get a well-balanced sound with enough bass and high end for a very decent sound.
Bear in mind that this unit's battery is £28 - half the price of the radio itself.
I would probably think more about portability and batteries next time I purchase a DAB radio.
If you don't need the battery/portable aspect, great. If it's worth radio cost plus battery cost, then I'm not quite as certain.
Overall, it is a very nice unit - just wish the battery was cheaper.
Customer Rating: Summary: Simple to set up and use and robust. Comment: If you're looking for a cheap, reliable radio with good sound quality then you've found it.
I bought this for my wife to use during her maternity leave. I wanted something so simple that even a dunce like me could set it up and robust enough to survive the attention of our two-year-old daughter.
This has done the job superbly. It took a few minutes to set up and has survived being grabbed and dropped by grubby fingers and we've had no problems with it.

From the world leaders in DAB comes a DAB and FM portable radio that looks good, sounds great and is unbelievably easy to use. With its stylish exterior, chrome controls, and great audio performance, ONE looks and sounds fantastic, wherever you listen.
If you haven?t experienced DAB yet, you?re in for a treat: station selection by name, scrolling text display, all stations tuned-in at the touch of a button and crisp, clear, digital sound. And there?s more listening choice too; in many areas up to twice as many stations are available on DAB as are available on FM.
ONE is a truly portable DAB radio. ChargePAK? ready as standard, ONE also offers class-leading battery life, with around 35 hours of DAB listening from six standard C size batteries.
In addition to DAB usability, station choice and sound quality, ONE also features FM with RDS for areas where DAB is currently unavailable. Not to mention a host of other features including Intellitext®, textSCAN?, kitchen and sleep timers, a backlit display and USB upgradeability.
All the benefits of DAB
More station choice, station selection by name, scrolling text display, easy autotune, and crisp, clear sound.
Portability
Around 20 hours of portable DAB listening from the optional, rechargeable ChargePAK-C6X?; around 35 hours from six C size batteries; or connect to the mains for home listening.
Ease of Use & Style
We?ve used our expertise as world leaders in DAB to produce a radio that not only sounds great but is intuitive and easy to use toox EQ settings. Display shows volume level, battery life, time, signal strength, EQ setting and favourite station mode.
