Spotlight customer reviews:

Customer Rating: Summary: worst phone ever Comment: This phone is horrible in every way - I've experienced most of the problems in other reviews here, including unacceptable background noise, short battery life, random dialling of numbers if you dial too quick (!). That was until it decided not to allow you to take calls!
Do not buy this! Sadly I only found these reviews while looking for a replacement for this one.
Customer Rating: Summary: BT Synergy 4500 - Poor Review Comment: The 4500 is not recommended. The battery life is poor and it is easy to run the battery down in one phone call. The input of stored numbers is not intuitive and you don't get many characters. The phone often does not sit in the cradle properly, resulting in the battery being flat when you next go to use it. Then after 14 months the ansaphone stopped working. I took the phone back to Comet (which is where I bought it, not Amazon) and they refused to deal with it as outside 12 month guarantee and 'I should have bought an extended warranty'. Steer clear of this phone.
Customer Rating: Summary: Poor Comment: I absolutely agree with the other bad reviews and will also add that a few days out of warranty the phones broke. Initially I couldn't answer incoming calls, then the answer machine started playing up and the time and date functions went haywire. Another family member also has this phone and has now started experiencing problems of a similar kind.
Customer Rating: Summary: a word of warning Comment: I bought a twin pack, having previously owned a BT cordless phone without a problem; whilst the phones worked, the battery life was very poor.
Not sure what went wrong, but after a couple of months neither phone would link with the base station.
If you want my advice, don't buy this product.
Customer Rating: Summary: Terrible, just terrible Comment: I bought these thinking well its BT the product must be good, the up shot is that on each of the 4 units i have the sound quality is awful simply awful, the person at the other ends asks you to repeat yourself a lot, it says digital clairity on the phone, not a a chance, bad sound, the ringtones are annoying, the phone beeps through most phone calls now you might think ahh that is because it needs charging, or i am some distance away fromthe receiver, nope neither the damn phones just beeps loudly, in your ear for 2 seconds and bloick the voice of the person you are talking to. The battery life very poor, this phone could have been made in a sweat shop with the poorest components avoid this waste of money. wiull never buy BT again.
