Customer Rating: Summary: THE ONLY CHOICE Comment: I ve had my nano for 18 months now and never used it with earphones. In my cars its wired in directly to the head units (which gives full control and avoids those crap fm transmitters) and at home I use docking stations. I also use an Altec IM7 for portable use. This brilliant device has rendered CD's and multichangers obsolete. I ve not come close to filling half the memory so started ripping at higher bit rates as suggested by the audiophilles but I really have nt noticed an improvement in audio quality. No quality or reliability issues which is a shame cos i cant justify buying the gen 4 model out this summer (16gb plus bluetooth is my guess!) Buy one now.
Customer Rating: Summary: Brilliantly unreliable Comment: Great technology etc but definitely the most unreliable thing I've ever owned.
Check out the Apple website and the pages of support/user forums dealing with iPod problems and make your own mind up. If you need a hobby or something to while away the hours, then this is the kit for you.

At just 6mm thick, the iPod Nano is slimmer and more discreet than its predecessor. It weighs just 40 g, making it ideal for music lovers who want to listen to music without the hassle of a bulky music player. The iPod nano not only holds up to 2,000 songs with colour album sleeves in its internal memory, it also allows you to view your photos on its bright 1.5" LCD screen, which is 40% brighter than the previous model. In addition, Apple has designed it so that it reads Podcasts and audio books, downloadable from the iTunes Store! With the iPod nano, your passion for music is no longer limited as it has a battery life of up to 24 hours. It?s unlikely that it will run out of energy before you do!The iPod nano is revolutionising the world of digital music, much to the delight all the music fans among us!
