Customer Rating: Summary: Let`s get one thing clear....... Comment: ...... the wireless headset is NOT as clear as the wired one. I bought my first wireless headset, based on reports of better sound clarity and the convenience of no wires. BOTH (more of that in a moment) of my headsets haven`t sounded any clearer than the wired one. The reason I say both of my headsets is that I`m on my second one, the first one stopped charging after a few weeks of use. My second headset had just failed, with the same fault. My friend also bought a wireless headset at the same time as I bought my first one. His stopped charging about a week ago, at least he had a few months use before having to return it.
I`ve got a wireless headset for my mobile phone, which only cost about £12. Why can`t Microsoft not get a headset, costing nearly 3 times as much, to be reliable ? The unreliability of the XBOX360 itself is almost forgiveable, as it is a lot of hi-tech in a small box, but surely a company like Microsoft should be able to design a decent wireless headset.
Customer Rating: Summary: xbox 360 wireless microphone Comment: DO NOT i repeat, DO NOT buy this product, its uncomfortable, sound quality extremely poor compared to wired mic, wireless range is considerably shorter than the wireless controller, battery runs out fast and after 4-5 charges the battery was dieing after an hour of use. If you buy this item you will regret it.
Customer Rating: Summary: Xbox 360 Wireless Headset Review. Comment: Overall, this is a pretty good headset, although there is one point i'd like to make which made me give this 4 stars instead of 5. The headsets rubber earpiece is quite loose and isn't firm on your ear.
There is no problem with the sound. Everyone seemed to say my wireless microphone was working fine so theres no problems there. Apparently they suddently stop charging but mines been fine up until now (fingers crossed).
Customer Rating: Summary: Short & But not Sweet Comment: It has problems, pure and simple, while the design is to be applauded, every other aspect of my experience with it was negative......
When it works it works extremely well, just don't expect it to last more than 18 months. £34 for a device that works for such a short period is false economy, it makes me wonder if manufactorers are not designing in obsolescence. Stick with the standard headset.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great!!! (From a constant online gamer) Comment: Let me just state one thing first... this headset is a must have.
The comparison between the wired headset and the wireless headset has a large quality margin with the wireless headset sounding much much clearer. (I have also conducted an experiment through using the two headsets which talking to some friends and the wireless headset did produce a better sound quality on the receiving end.)
The other major advantage of the headset is that its wireless and so you don't have to have to untagle wires every time you play the Xbox and you can also use a chat pad with ease. Although this is not a major problem... the wired headset crushes my hair (it goes across the head) whilst the wireless headset sits nicely on the chosen ear.
The headset is also extremely easy to set up (although I have to admit, the volume control on the wired model is alot more effective) and lasts a reasonably amount of time (normally about a couple of weeks at an average of 10 hours played per week).
I would recommend these to anyone and everyone (except those who cannot get onto exbox live :D).
