Summary: Essential to get the most out of your wii but far too expensive
Comment: You only get one wiimote in the standard kit wii console and while this is a fantastic controller hence why I have given it 5 stars for fun I think it is over priced as unlike other consoles there is no 'after market' 3rd part alternatives that are cheaper.

I would welcome a reduction in the price by nintendo to make the additional wiimotes more accessible for more people. Your looking at the best part of £150 to get 3 more wiimotes and nunchucks required for 4 player mode. I have got 4 and it really does make play more fun and allow more people to join in.

Summary: Great little thing
Comment: So the main console comes loaded with one of these things and Wii Sports. As soon as you load up the game, you notice it wworks differently to other controllers. You try out one of the games (like Bowling) and think either

1. Wow, this is really realistic.

2. Why don't I just go play the actual sport?

The Wiimote works great with every game I have played so far, translates the movements to the screen incredibly easily so there's no need for big movements (although you will be doing that with most of the games).

It's great fun and easy to use.

Until you want to play two player.

You used to be able to get Wii Play bundled with a Wiimote, but Wii Play isn't available anywhere excpet the ridiculously overpriced 'Used and New' sections of websites. Even Woolworths has nine of the boxes, but tells me they aren't in stock.

So if you want to do two player on a game, you have to fork out an extra £30 for one of these. Add that to the price of a Nunchuck (£15) and that's already well over the price of a game.

I'd take stars off, but I'm rating the product, not the price. Except I can't. So just pretend it's five stars.
That'll work.

Summary: Love this controller!
Comment: I think this is a fantastic controller very easy to use and not to light but not to heavy either. The control is very fun to use, its not uncomfortable and it fits perfectly in your hand.

There is not much to say about a controller but this is fantasticly designed and great fun to use!

Summary: Wii remote
Comment: I purchased a wiimote last week, arrived next day and paid less than current shop prices. The wiimote is the Japanese version but as stated in the covering letter from seller it works in the same way as the UK version - you just need to check your original English instructions and press the red sync button on the back of the wiimote and the red sync button inside the front casing on the wii console at the same time and away you go. Don't be put off by some of the other reviews I was very pleased with my purchase.

Summary: It's a remote.......
Comment: Everyone here is complaining! It's an immense remote!

You Point it at the screen and the cursor comes up, it has shake control, tilt control, it's got everything!

Why not buy it!

Editorial Reviews:

Shaped like a TV remote, the Nintendo Wii controller has been designed to be easily used by beginners and pros alike. Sensors determine the Wii Remote's position is in 3-D space, which means that racing-game steering and a tennis swing, for example, are done through movements of your hand rather than by just your thumbs. What's more, a tiny speaker built into the Wii Remote promises some interactive surround sound experiences. The controller also has a force feedback "Rumble" feature and an expansion port for use with accessories, such as the Nunchuck, which adds an analogue thumbstick and trigger buttons.
