Summary: My son is happy with this product.
Comment: The cards are repeated too often as someone else points out - that was the only disappointment for my son.

Summary: Great cards but very repeated
Comment: These cards are of a very high quality and do much to fit in with the Warcraft lore and game. However I do have one gripe and it is quite a major one.

I've bought 3 starter decks and I've found that very many of the cards are repeated in these starter decks. Despite having over 100 cards, I actually only have 40 unique cards. Even worse, inside one pack of cards, I had 2 of every card next to each other in the deck. It was almost like they hadn't been shuffled or properly distributed at the manufacturers at all, which seemed a bit careless in my opinion.

Some repetition is of course to be expected, which is what makes a trading card game something to trade, but this high incidence of card repetition makes me cautious about buying any more starter decks. I might try some of the other decks but I'd like to see TGC doing their utmost to ensure these cards are more randomly packaged.

Summary: World of Warcraft Trading Card Game
Comment: I have played Trading Card Games (TCG's) for many years and know the rules and own decks for about 7 different games. I can say that the World of Warcraft Trading Card Game is one of the best I have ever played, it uses a revolutionary system of gameplay that combines the best aspects of other games into one. The game will be a popular hit among avid players of all things card related and also players of the hit PC game World of Warcraft. I recommend this game to new players of TCG's as well because I learnt to play in about 10 minutes and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Now onto the game itself: the World of Warcraft trading card game is a new exciting game from `Upper Deck Entertainment' and `Blizzard Entertainment'. It combines many of the best aspects of current popular TCG's (Trading Card Game) such as Magic the Gathering and Universal Fighting System (UFS). The game includes a wide variety of races, classes, items and quests from the game World of Warcraft. All of the nine races are included; warriors, hunters, priests, druids, warlocks, mages, paladins, shamans and rogues. Each player has a Hero Card that contains their life and the structure of their deck. This hero is the card your opponent is trying to overcome, the leader of your army. Your deck will also consist of a mixture of ally, equipment and quest cards.

Quest cards are used to pay for costs of your ally's and equipment cards. You may play one quest per turn they function a lot like the `land' cards from Magic the Gathering. The objective of the game is to defeat your opponent's hero by attacking him and his ally cards with your hero and your ally cards.

The game has strong overtones and influences from UFS, the avatar system, and of course Magic the Gathering using the land system of costing cards in your battle.

A lot of fun, relatively easy to learn with enough depth to keep you coming back as well as the possibility of getting a `Loot' card in the boosters (sold separately but the Starter does contain a couple) - these provide cosmetic upgrades for your online character and are much sought after I hear (from a friend of mine who claims he's not addicted, honest!).
