Customer Rating: Summary: No Problems Comment: Had this fitted for almost a year now, not had any problems not had the dreaded 3 red lights problem which so many other 360s seem so suffer. Bit annoying how you can only connect component to component but to be honest I would rather have a working 360 than bother about the way its connected.
Customer Rating: Summary: nyko fans stop working properly after a month Comment: i bought the nyko cooler system, worked for about a month, then started making a strange noise, i felt round the back on xbox and it was nearly on fire, after that had red ring of death and freezing. ALOT of people have had problems with the nyko cooler, gonna try this cooler king out, also it doesnt use the xbox's power like the nyko.
nyko is a dream for a month, after that your back to square 1.
Customer Rating: Summary: Buy this! Comment: The NIKO is rubbish it does break the xbox 360.. It stops the xbox 360 gettting the power it needs! This dont do that. And it adds to extra fans so more air can go in and out of the xbox! I have one of these and i feel my xbox 360 is doing better than ever, i put my hand on the back and i can actually feel the air blowing my hand not boiling hot air and you think your xbox is on fire!
Customer Rating: Summary: BUY THE NYKO COOLER Comment: The cooler king is basically a big rip off. As the 360 was not designed to have its pre-existing connections mannipulated in this way, most users will be utterly disapointed with the accessory. The componant RGB connection on the rear does not work the way it should as the colours are wrong (most display with a pinkish/redish tint). However the VGA connection does work up to 720p (apparently).
By the way to any previous critisisms about the cooling system... YOU ARE ALL WRONG! the system works by sucking all the hot air out of the system, not by blowing cool air into it. It does work and stops your 360 from crashing and distroying your discs.
However my advice is to spend the extra cash and buy official 360 accessories as they are all certified by production line watchdogs (they do what they're meant to!)
And as for a cooling system... buy the NYKO. It was commissioned by microsoft and is cheaper than the cooler king. It is the perfect solution to the console hanging, discs cracking and the "RING OF DEATH" problem with the DVD drive.
(by the way the console will not put out 1080p without the 360 adapter which will "enable the switch" in the console)
Customer Rating: Summary: Not bad but be careful Comment: First of all, for all of you who have bought some extra video output cables for xbox, I am sorry to tell you that you have wasted your money, because it converts the xbox output to vga/component. I heard the component is not working but currently I am using vga so no comment on this point. But the vga can output 720p for sure. So it will save you about 10-20 pounds if you connect xbox with vga(the vga cable is really cheap...) Second, the fan is at least working. The air is not so hot with this so called cooler king but it is still hot....
I have been using it for a month and have not got any problem.
FYI.
