Customer Rating: Summary: Well-intentioned, but flawed!! Comment: Like ALL mac owners, I love my MBP, and will go to any length to take good care of it. I got this case --since there are few like it out there.
It fits perfectly. There are convenient holes around the case to accommodate your devices comfortably and for ventilation. There has been no change in temperature whatsoever since I've used the case.
It's worth mentioning that this case does not cover the area surronding the trackpad --which I thought it did before buying it.
The Flaw:
Dust actually gets through this case! This might not seem much of a big deal, but the tiny particles end up scratching your laptop!! Regularly remove your laptop from the case and wipe it down... [I do that twice a week].
No doubt, it's a sexy accessory to have... and its practical for dust to pass through holes; It would have gotten 5-stars if not for the false sense of security it gave.
Customer Rating: Summary: NO GOOD IF YOU CAN'T GET IT OFF AGAIN !!! Comment: WELL I BOUGHT THIS THINKING IT WAS GOING TO BE GREAT BUT SADLY I CANNOT GET THE TOP OFF AT ALL AND I HAVE BEE TRYING FOR LIKE A WEEK NOW AND THE ONLY THING I FEAR THAT I HAVE MANAGED TO DO IN SCRATCH MY MACBOOK.
ALSO THE BOTTOM HAS VERY ROUGH EDGES AND I HAVE SCRATCHED MY ARMS ON THEM !!!
AND THERE ARE SCRATCHES ON MY MACBOOK ON THE BOTTOM WHERE THE COVER HAS BEEN FROM PUTTING IT ON AND REMOVING IT (AND THAT WAS ONLY ONCE!!!)
DO NOT BUY !!!!!
Customer Rating: Summary: Make your mac stand out, and protect from falls Comment: I like mine- I bought a couple, and gave one away to a friend who enjoys his as well.
It's nice to give a bit of protection to the machine, while still retaining functionality. Also, if you're djing with your computer it's great to hide your Macbook a little with the red casing..
Customer Rating: Summary: Not the quality I expected :( Comment: I don't mind paying this much for what is in reality two pieces of moulded plastic if the quality is good.
I assumed that the mouldings would be of good quality as they also sell these on the Apple site.
Unfortunately what I received was disappointing.
The top moulding has light scratches on it and the bottom moulding has a surprisingly rough finish along one its corners (between the optical drive and the USB port).
The feedback on the Apple site is mostly positive so I'm wondering if I got one made late on Friday afternoon?
