Customer Rating: Summary: Software and then hardware problems Comment: I found this phone easy to set up and it worked as advertised. Then I was offered and accepted a software (firmware) update and the features and quality of the sound was degraded. A further 3 updates improved some faults but created new ones. Eventually the firmware problems were fixed, but now the handset ring function has failed. Not good in a phone which is only around 2 years old.
However, the Dualphone support people replied to my ring problem notification via e-mail within 24 hours, which is good.
They advised resetting the system and then replacing the handset in the charger. If it did not beep twice when replaced, then I needed a new phone. Apparently I need a new phone.
Customer Rating: Summary: Few more improvements required Comment: Having had this phone in service for a week I am quite pleased, although it is not for the inexperienced. It takes a little getting used to. Volume needs to be louder - both for earpiece and tones, the latter of which are rather limited and not easy to hear even in the same room if there is music or tv playing. Skype calls are, I am told, by recipients much clearer than when using the computer, although the Skype to Skype calls are not quite so clear as on the computer. One problem I have had was, after downloading new firmware, my whole airport system went off and took some time to get back again, but it could just have been coincidence.
Customer Rating: Summary: Impressive piece of kit Comment: I was just after a dect telephone but when i read that you could get one with Skype built in that had no requirement for a PC then I had to give it a try - worth every penny.
Customer Rating: Summary: A very good product Comment: Been using this for a week now and it is brilliant. The call quality is much better than I anticipated and the ease of use makes it easy for even a technophobe like me to use.
Customer Rating: Summary: Brilliant Phone Comment: This is a great product, the latest firmware has dramatically improved call quality and now you have multi handset option its the best product of its type by far.

Finally a cordless Skype phone that does not require a PC. Just connect the DUALphone base station to your broadband connection, and then you can talk free of charge with your Skype friends or call other landline numbers worldwide – either using the extremely low SkypeOut rates or as usual via your regular landline operator. The popular Skype user interface and the attractive colour display gives you tomorrow's telephone today and for the future, because it is easy and simple to download new software directly from the phone. The phone has superior sound quality, is naturally cordless and has a range of up to 300 metres. It is easy to install, easy to use and a natural choice as your conference phone.
