Customer Rating: Summary: Honest Simple and Brill Comment: I am so impressed with this Speaker System, It is well made solid and the sound is far better than I dared hope the first thing you notice is the weight it's heavy!.I have listened to 2 others, 1 being the Bose and the Griffen beats them hands down in my opinion, and less than half the price. Now think about it all the best speakers are made from wood you just don't get a good sound from plastic.
Great bass and plenty of volume the large volume knob feels quality and lights up a nice blue, it's an honest, does what it says on the box, no frills good value product.
The Griffin was a present from my son and comes very nicely packaged so if you are think of giving one as a present!
To sum up Buy one Now you will not be disappointed, in fact I want one in every room he he.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great value for money Comment: Having done the usual and shopped around looking at various options including Bose, I opted for the Grffin. For £ notes spent this is an excellent buy. The overall sound quality is far better than I was expecting. I use this in my kitchen and having hi-fi separates as my main system I was expecting a bigger compromise in sound for the trade off of convenience that an ipod and the Griffin offers. This is a very well designed product that delivers better sound quality than expected.
Customer Rating: Summary: Stunning Comment: At this price i wasn't expecting such quality- ok, you have to fiddle with you EQ settings, and be careful choosing a site for your griffin, but once done- frabjous!
I use musical fidelity x-series components via mission 753 freedoms; after 6 hours with the griffin, i'm considering selling them.
I reccommend mr zimmerman's famous quotation, 'Play (expletive deleted) LOUD'! The amplifi handles it easily.
Customer Rating: Summary: Simple to use - bargain of the century Comment: Griffin Amplifi 2.1 Sound Speaker System for iPod
Not being too technically minded, I was confused by the vast array of speaker docks for the ipod, After a lot of searching and trying, I bought the Amplifi and was astounded by the value for money - this is a true bargain - the sound quality beats the Bose sounddock hands down and it is so simple to set up and use.
The only controls are skip and volume, not great if you like to fiddle with gadgets but if, like me, you just want a simple, great sounding piece of kit it's perfect.
I've tried some of the more expensive speaker docks around the £200 mark, doing the usual thing of "it cost's more so it must be better". I wasn't particulaly happy with any of them. I'd read the reviews on the amplifi but thought it couldn't be that great as is was under the £90 mark. Eventually I decided I'd give it a go. I wish I'd gone for it months ago - I could have been enjoying my music! Also, I have over £100 in change to spend on more gadgets!
This really is the bargain of the century - do not be put off by the low price, it is more worthy of the Bose Sounddock's price than the Soundock itself!
Customer Rating: Summary: Disappointing Comment: This is like a little sub, with it's wooden box, so the base is pretty good. But the two small front speakers inside just aren't up to the job. The overall sound was so disappointing that I returned it on the day it arrived.
