Customer Rating: Summary: BARGAIN SNAPPER Comment: Two years ago I bought a Pentax (can't remember model) at Dixons as it was on offer at £199. The camera was 6MP and it was my worst ever purchase; awful low light shots, ridiculous amount of purple fringing. Therefore, for my next camera, I decided to do my homework. I looked at Sony's, Canon, Fuji, but it never crossed my mind to try Casio 'the cheap watch makers'. I browsed photo mags, pro websites and forums and they highly rated this camera, so after a month of pondering I decided to give it a go.
I am thrilled to bits with this camera. I highly recommend this camera to anyone who is looking for a reliable compact camera on a budget.
I am particularly impressed by the Profiled Scene Modes (36 I think). Whether its low light, sport, macro or night shots this camera profiles for virtually anywhere. The cameras menu's are easy to navigate and the battery life is fantastic. I was also impressed by the video and sound quality; excellent for taking short clips.
The camera takes an SD card. I bought a 2GB one from Amazon for under £10 which I recommend so you don't have to worry about running out of space. I went to London last weekend and took 450 photos at 10MP quality and also recorded a series of short video clips. The battery was just past the half way point and there was still space left on the memory card.
If your budget is £100 then buy this camera. You won't be disappointed.
Customer Rating: Summary: Casio Comment: I've been using my Casio (the silver version), for 3 months now, and I must say I'm so pleased with it. It's small, so it can fit in any handbag - which is very useful for us ladies - and the battery is unbelievable! I've only charged it 5 times in 3 months and I use this cam all the time. The lcd screen has a very good clear image as well as the final result. This might just be the perfect camera, considering price and quality.
Customer Rating: Summary: Superb Camera Comment: I bought this camera last christmas and I'm very impressed with it. Easy to use, great quality of pictures, easy to download on the computer. I would recommend this to everyone.
Customer Rating: Summary: Fine for the first five months Comment: When I first purchased this camera I was so impressed with it-easy to use, great pictures etc etc,I told everyone how good it was.Now 7 months down the line it doesnt take photos in daylight-they are just white-and despite having a two year guarantee neither Casio or Amazon are interested in replacing it-even though it has been declared faulty by an independant camera store-or helping me out in any way.Dont even think about it!!!!!!!!!!1
Customer Rating: Summary: Casio Exilim 1050 Comment: I've had a Casio 1050 for around 12 months. As a go anywhere compact 10mp camera it's smart and light and the best shot menu is useful.Images can be on the hard side and I'd rate it as quite good and o.k. for the price.
I also have a Panasonic Lumix with a stunning leica lens and although it's only 6.1 mp, it knocks the Casio out for quality and clarity, which goes to show that it's not all down to megapixels but lens quality.
