Summary: Acer T180
Comment: Brill little machine
Very quiet i have to keep checking to see it is actually on!
Mine came with a 5000 chip, so yes i assume they keep updating as they roll them out, anyway im not complaining.
no dvi output , but then this can be gained when upgrading the video card.
sound out is good, specially when plugged into a 5.1 system.
Digital is via one of the 3.5mm plugs that also doubles as a input if no digi detected.
decided to call acer regarding the 'security' stickers on the side panels, they were very helpful.
motherboard appears to be from the 'Foxcomm' range which has a reasonable reputation.
Software could be better. Power DVD wasnt present, neither was office. One or both of these would have been a very big Plus to this package.
However for the price i am more than happy.

Summary: Acer T 180
Comment: I recently purchased the Acer T 180 and I have to say you won't get a better all round desktop for the price.

What you get:

1 x Acer T 180 desktop PC
1 x Acer ball mouse
1 x Acer key bored with wrist rest
2 x blank DVD R discs for the Acer eRecovery Management
1 x pair of Acer desktop speakers
1 x 3 month trial of Norton anti virus 2007 (pre installed)
1 x power cable
manuals etc

Pros:

PCI-E.
Realtek HD audio.
ATHLON 64 4000 Dual Core, although mine came with a 4200+ so must be upgraded on each new batch.
Windows vista - fast and pleasing on the eye.
upgrade RAM to 4 GB.
DVD Burner dual and double layer.
6 x USB 2.0 ports and a 9 in 1 card reader.
32-bit operating system.
windows media centre.

Cons:

No Microsoft works.
Tacky speakers.
Hard drive can be a bit noisy, but nothing to write home about.
Graphics card has no DVI.
No digital output from the sound card.

Summary:

Great desktop for the price like I said you won't get a better desktop for the price, very highly expandable/upgradeble I've installed
