Customer Rating: Summary: Cute but rather opinionated creature Comment: This is a cute accessory/gadget for your mp3 player which acts as a speaker and dancing eye candy for your desk. I got the i-Cy penguin as a gift and once switched on it likes to make its presence known - especially if you leave it alone for a few minutes without any music. If you play music to it without using the speaker connection, it chirps away happily (or unhappily) according to the type of music that is is being fed. I think it likes some music more than others - and apparently its being making 'penguin is sick' signals (chirping and flashing green and yellow lights) to what I am playing at the moment - oh dear!
This is a fun little toy and a nice addition to the growing i-Dog collection of the speaker/desk toys. It is quite stylish, cute and interactive. By the way, the toy did not come with batteries and requires 3x AAA batteries.

Warning: Penguins may look cute and cuddly, but they can be deadly....as Wallace and Gromit found out. This one however, has been thoroughly tested by the product character analysts at Gadgetshop HQ, and we can assure you that the I-CY penguin is a truly delightful creature. I-CY Penguin is the ultimate companion for your iPod bringing your music to life through a unique, colourful and animated display. Sleek and shiny in appearance I-CY is one of the smartest looking iPod accessories available and his clear outer skin allows for an illuminating light display to be visible. I-CY will flap his flippers in-time to your tunes, and will change mood depending the amount of musical interaction he receives - make him happy with lots of music and interaction! I-CY communicates moods through musical riffs, movement and a plethora of illuminating light patterns. If he squawks, you'll know he needs more attention but if you flick his tail you may see his angry side. Plug him in and chill-out with the friendliest Penguin chap we've ever met. Spiffing!
