Customer Rating: Summary: Future Collectable Comment: This is sure to be a future collectable get it while you can!
Prime always holds his value well and is usually the most durable figure, which means the wheel wont fall off after 5mins of you or your child playing with it!
Customer Rating: Summary: Prime Mover! Comment: I purchased this Transformer for my 5 year old for christmas. We now have a house full of various types of transformers but this one is definately the best. Transforms beautifully, it takes a little practice to get it back to the truck but I and my little boy mastered it quickly. He's actually better at it than me!
I love this toy. Never was a fan in the 80's (Duran Duran being my whole life back then!) but I certainly am now. Best Transformer we've got by a country mile. Tis lovely and shiney too!
Customer Rating: Summary: Optimal Optimus. Comment: This is a superb Transformer toy. It combines all the best new features of modern transformers and the old chunky, solid style of the old.
As a vehicle Optimus is a solid, brightly coloured truck with free rolling wheels and a horn/light effect activated by a cab-top button. All robot features are hidden away and it looks just like a toy truck with any joins fitting tightly together.
As a robot he stands up well and can be posed in various ways without loosing stability. The arms could do with a rotational joint under the shoulder so they don;t have to face forwards all the time. But otherwise he looks very good. Optimus' right hand carries a firing missile launcher with an impressive range. The hands have articulated thumbs and fingers (4 fingers joined together) and the head rotates.
I don't care how old I am; pressing the button on Optimus' chest and having his head pop out whilst laser noises goes off is always going to be fun!
Transforming between the two forms is tough at first and don't expect the instruction booklet to be any help!
Once you've had a good look at where the joints are and where things should bend/fold away it's easy to see what should go where. After transforming Optimus once and then back again I had it sussed no problem and I don't have to think about it anymore. Because of his size and solidness he's actually easier to transform than some of the deluxe class Transformers (Bonecrusher... argh!).
Definitely a 5 star Transformers toy and the best version of Optimus since the original G1!

For thousands of years, Optimus Prime and his Autobots have travelled through space in search of the Allspark. For all that time, the Autobot leader has held one goal in mind - to protect the universe from the evil of Megatron . For this massive, metal warrior, nothing is more important than freedom; he will sacrifice all for its preservation. He has fought for centuries, modifying his body into an unstoppable war machine, preparing for that day he knows is coming when he and Megatron meet for one final battle! Get ready to rule the universe with this awesome Optimus Prime figure that features Advanced Automorph Technology! This Transformers technology is designed to enhance vehicle-to-robot conversion with partially animated mechanical triggers that activate the final shift to battle mode. See armour slide to protect vital points! Flip down the Ion Blaster in robot mode to launch the projectile! And press the button in vehicle mode for electronic horn sounds and lights!
