Customer Rating: Summary: well designed player let down by screen Comment: Great looking player including remote & car adapter. Easily changed to Multi region which was my main reason for choosing this one. Video displayed on external TV is good, but internal screen has difficulty displaying text and subtitle captions clearly, the screen is a disappointment so overall just 3 stars.
Customer Rating: Summary: Can be made multiregion, quality not as good as PMPs Comment: This DVD player is very stylish and sleek however the image quality can not really match up to any media players such as the Archos, Ipod, Zen, Iriver etc. as the resolution is simply not enough for the 7" screen. The player comes with a USB port to allow attachment of pen drives or card readers but it is only USB 1.1 not USB 2 so it is sloooow. I also had problems with the OK button not functioning on a number of DVDs so you should check that before buying. The player can be made multiregion- using the remote control press setup, down arrow, down arrow, right arrow, 212225 (the code will not be shown), left arrow, down arrow. The region code box should then be shown- enter 0 and press setup to save.

You can watch your favourite films on DVD and DivX thanks to the PET730 portable DVD player. Ideal for keeping your back seat passengers entertained during those long car journeys, as this player has two headphones sockets for total user comfort. Thanks to its 7" LCD screen, the PET730 displays great quality images at a contrast rate of 250:1 and a brightness of 200 cd/m². Compatible with MP3, WMA and JPEG images, the PET730 can also play digital images or play your favourite songs stored on a USB key. The portable DVD player comes with a car mount so you can mount the device in your car in total security. Philips guarantees you journeys filled with digital entertainment with the PET730.
