Summary: Does the job well; supports widescreen and SCART autoswitches
Comment: This cable is hard-wired to force widescreen on the TV's SCART (hooray!), which automatically makes it better than the official cable (unless you've got a 4:3 TV, in which case you probably won't care about RGB anyway).

I've seen quite a few reviews mention that you can't use any RGB cable with a SCART auto-switcher because the Wii permanently outputs an 'on' signal. Turns out that this is due to the 'Autoconnect 24' feature being enabled (by default) on the Wii. I turned 'Autoconnect 24' off and -- hey presto -- this cable worked perfectly with my SCART auto-switcher.

Summary: Good quality cable, but no seperate audio/composite
Comment: This Logic 3 product is a good quality cable providing a very nice RGB picture, however, please note, it does NOT have a 'composite run off block' as mentioned by a previous reviewer.

I bought this item because I thought it had the block - moral: Don't always believe what you read on the internet!

Summary: It's OK
Comment: After going from a CRT tv to a full HD 40" Sony Bravia tv, the quality of the picture did drop so I bought this cable expecting that to be rectified. Although the text & colours on screen are better but not by much, the graphics quality has hardly improved at all. I'd be hard pushed to notice the difference on Wii Sports. I'm in two minds whether to take it back & carry on using my original cable or try a something else.

Summary: Complete Rubbish
Comment: Go and buy the original Wii RGB Cable, this one whilst it works is no where near as good as the original Nintendo version.

Summary: Works perfectly!
Comment: Bought an RGB Scart lead for the Wii for around £5.50, but was disappointed that it definitely wasn't RGB, and it had terrible ghosting. So I returned it and bought this. Not only is this still far cheaper than the official RGB Scart cable (£7.99 at time of purchase), but it has an important feature that hasn't been mentioned anywhere - it has a composite run-off block. This is useful for two reasons:

- You can use an external speaker system instead of your TV's speakers, and still get RGB picture quality. Particularly useful for those with smaller mono TVs who want stereo sound.
- You can use it on a TV that has composite ports without digging out the composite cable from the Wii box (provided there is a spare composite -> composite lead somewhere, which there almost always is).

This is true RGB and provides the best picture quality possible from your Wii if you don't have component ports that support progressive scan on your TV. Vast improvement over the bundles composite cables, and far cheaper than the official cables.

Buy!

Editorial Reviews:

Get the most out of your new Wii console. This high-quality shielded RGB cable makes for crisp, sharp sounds and deep, rich and colourful pictures.
