Customer Rating: Summary: Samsung HT-THX25R Comment: I bought this item at Christmas and the unit never got delivered had to continually phone Amazon on a daily basis for 4 days before they would despatch another unit which was received a couple of days later. The sound quality from this unit is good and the unit looks good and is easy to set up but I have some personal issues with the design of the system in that this unit was a replacement for my old JVC system which was around 5 years old and the Samsung does not have a digital audio connection whereas my JVC unit did, I would of thought in this day and age this should be standard so you will be forced into connection you Sky boxes with RCA audio leads. Lastly if like me you don't want to fit the speakers full height but only put the speaker itself onto the base there is no way of concealing the cables coming throught the base as if you feed it through the base as it shows you, the speaker actually crushes the cable so you need to be carefull if you take this option.
Customer Rating: Summary: DONT BUY THIS ITEM Comment: I bought this item, I thought through amazon, then realised was being sent from pixmania.
The item was received very quickly and came packaged well.
Then the problems started, opened item Christmas Day to find had european plug not UK (not told) so went out and bought adapter as Pixmania did not reply to messages and I wanted to use item.
Once done this sound quality was poor and now it wont play any DVD's pointless to say the least.
Also telephoned Samsung call centre as described in there book, was guarenteed a 4hour call back now 12 hours later no call back.
Pixmania have still not replied to any messages and have now contacted amazon.
By this from a shop at least you can take back if faulty.
Disappointed in service and quality
Customer Rating: Summary: Not pleased! Comment: Bought this just this week and it has a distinct lack of digital inputs. None in fact! I wanted to connect my PS3, 1080p LCD HD TV and Sky HD Box and have them all running through the Samsung amp. But I'm having to run everything through the TV and connect the TV to the amp by ANALOGUE phono inputs!! All this money on expensive top kit and now I won't get proper 5.1 sound! Waste of money if you want to do more than just play dvds through the Samsung amp!
Customer Rating: Summary: Nice peace of kit Comment: Had this system about a week now, fits in perfectly with my Samsung TV and DVD recorder all black & silver and you can use the same remote to work them all.The 5.1 600w sound is impressive with DVD & CD and connected with a HDMI cable the DVD upscaling is very good. The speakers are of a good quality and you get a decent amount of cable. The rear speakers are wireless enabled but you have to buy another new shinny black box the Samsung SWA-3000 Wireless Amplifier delivery system. This "wireless system" will set you back £90 DON'T bother if you have a normal sized room, you still have to wire the rear speakers to it and plug it in. All in all a top product.
