Customer Rating: Summary: good buy but not from I T Electronics Ltd Comment: I brought this item from I T Electronics Ltd mid May 08 via Amazon. Recieved the package in good order and was very important for our forth coming Honeymoon.
Unfortuantly the Camcorder came with a European manual and adaptor which is completyly useless, unless you have good Spanish friends and a European-UK adaptor plug.
After many phone calls to I T Electronics Ltd and leaving many answer phone messages to replace these items there has been absloutly NO response whatsoever. Even Amazon have wiped this product from my purchase history after sending them emails about I T Electronics Ltd incompatatance.
It lowers my confidance in ordering any thing from Amazon which in the past i have not encountered any problems and usually very happy with their service.
Other than that the actuall product is v.good and easy to use.
Customer Rating: Summary: Good, basic camera Comment: This is a good, basic camera for the price. The picture quality is not superb, but it is not bad as well. The 34x zoom is powerful and does it's job well. You will have to buy a firewire cable for it. I made the mistake of buying it from Jessops for £14. I later realized that one could buy it on Amazon for somewhere around £5.
It is a basic camera. For now the Sony DCR-HC27 is on special for £124 with Amazon and friends that have bought it say that it is excellent. Sony is a leading Japanese brand while Samsung is a Korean brand and not really at the top of the electronics market. I I had to buy a camcorder again I would go for the Sony.
Customer Rating: Summary: Low Quality Camcorder Comment: I bought the Camcorder from Amazon because I previously had a Hi8 Samsung camcorder, which died.
The functionalities of this DV version is very basic and it is made from cheap plastic. It feels like it is going to break anytime soon. I tried it for 10mins and sent it back and I bought the DCR-HC27 sony dv camcorder from Amazon which is excellent.
You get what you pay for, u decide. And it did not come with firewire cable or editing software
Customer Rating: Summary: Marvel camera Comment: I had the good fortune to buy this camera yesterday and am absolutely amazed with it, the video quality is incredible, the zoom is fantastic, and the different modes are likewise. The one problem I have with it is it doesn't have a PC cable.

The lightweight, compact and easy-to-use VP-D371 W camcorder adds digital quality to all your videos. It includes the same features as the VP-D371, but with a slightly larger 2.7" screen for recording in 16:9 format. It also records directly to MiniDV format, with clear pictures and rich, deep colours, thanks to its 800,000-pixel CCD sensor. With its 34x optical zoom, the VP-D371 W allows you to film even the most distant subjects as if you had a front-row seat, which is perfect for sporting events, concerts and family reunions, while its digital image stabiliser compensates for camcorder movement when you?re filming or zooming in and out. The VP-D371 W even comes with a host of digital effects such as art, mosaic, sepia or black & white so you can add your own personal touch to your creations, and lets you get to grips with video montage on your computer, thanks to its FireWire output. Representing excellent value for money, the VP-D371 W MiniDV camcorder brings you the best of digital home recording.
