Customer Rating: Summary: Great dock Comment: This stand is great it keeps my remotes safely stored and the blue light looks cool, only problem is that i have to leave the wii switched on for the remotes to be charged. If anyone knows a way around this please let me know.
Customer Rating: Summary: Idiots should read the manual Comment: works fine in standby. wii has to be internet connected for this amber mode i believe. not to difficult for anyone with a wireless internet connection at home.
ive read people saying the rear charge slot doesnt work. they are idiots. there is a switch on the back of the wii that selects between the rear charger slot and the rear battery compartment. only one of the 2 rear chargers will work at once.
Customer Rating: Summary: Beware - only works if the console is turned on Comment: A word of warning for anyone about to buy one of these. The remote charging stand does work, it draws power from one of the USB ports on the console. However, it will only work when the Wii is switched on. This means you have to leave the console powered up for several hours while your remotes recharge.
Apparently there is a standby mode which will allow you to charge the remotes while the Wii is in standby, but for some reason the console cannot be put into this mode unless it is connected to the internet. If, like me, your console is not online, there are only two options, on or off.
Customer Rating: Summary: DANGER DO NOT BUY!!! Comment: Read the title and weep my wii loving friends as this is the ultimate anti-wiimote technology! In a nutshell it 'kills' your wiimotes, firstly it dims the blue lights that are meant to represent your player no. then messes with your on-screen cursor till it just blinks out! I had 2 perfectly normal wiimotes each costing £30 and now both are 'dead'. Think about it that's £60 down the drain! DO NOT BUY!
Customer Rating: Summary: Great gadget, keeps the kids and my wife quiet Comment: I purchased this back in the autumn, and have held off reviewing this as the feed back from others has been of a mixed response, so here goes.
The unit arrived on time as per all my purchases from good old Amazon, and well packaged. I had mixed feelings at first of giving this ago, as people reported that the controllers where / stopped working etc. This might be due to insisting that the consol is turned off to stand-by when not in use. However we have had this going for about 6 to 8 months without any issues, the batteries where easily installed they charged up through the USB socket at the rear of the Wii consol (but only when it is not in stand-by mode) which to be quiet honest is not an issue, as my kids and all their mates that come around have not had the batteries fail or be in a fully discharged state not enabling them to play on the consol. The unit matches the colour of the Wii consol and with the added benefit of allowing the hand units to be stored away neatly when not in use.
To sum it up over the last months of use we have not had any issues, it charges the hand sets with out any problems ensuring that they are fully operational for play time, batteries fitted without any problems, looks great and for the money you can't go wrong, five starts
