Customer Rating: Summary: PLEASE READ THIS!!!! Comment: after 1 year my little sisters ipods battery died, and apple said they would fix it for £200, i told her she might aswell buy a new one. so she got this nano.
this new ipod nano design is just pathetic, the click wheel is SO small that clicking on the wrong option is a common mistake.
the hold button is in some retarded place and got some retardd shaape that is hard to find let alone use.
the PATHETIC £1 headphones suppied are just garbage. seriously.
you MUST use sucky itunes software to put anything onto the ipod. Itunes is no. 1 retarded piece of software, it is SO LAGGY even on my high spec computer, installed itunes loads up like 4 other processes that just eat away your CPU/Memory and connecting up the ipod just completely kills the program. it literally become unuseable.
it occasionly freezes up and must be "re-flashed" by connecting up to computer, not useful wen ur on the bus.
kinda over priced for what a piece of junk this really is. apple have made no step forward and this product is a pathetic piece of dirt with a fat price tag, just like any pathetic apple product.
HONESTY, if you lookin for a mp4 player, get the sony walkman a818, or creative zen.
SERIOUSLY, i own the sony walkman, and its cheaper, the headphones supplied cost £40 in the shopes
no homo software is needed just drag and drop or windows media player is u like
more battery life
better sound quality
normal navigation system
really, give it chance, read the reviews,
everyone and their dogs are walkin around with a ipod in their pocket and i cant understand why, they suxxxx.
even the zen has a SWEET memory extension where u can upgrade ur memory through SD cards.
iPods SUX
DEAL WITH IT
Customer Rating: Summary: Worthwhile purchase. Comment: I use this with the nike sports kit when running. I use it to play music when working out. I use it to watch movies when travelling. In one month the iPod has become an integral part of many activities and I'd replace it straight away if it were to disappear.
It might not fit my entire music collection but as long as I am selective the iPod can fit all the music I want. Despite the small size the quality of the picture is excellent. It fits comfortably in my pocket.
I have never had to manage the battery life as it has more than enough to play a film as well as all the music I could want in a day.
It does crash occasionally which is disappointing, hopefully an update will stop that happening.
Customer Rating: Summary: excellent little player Comment: I bought this as a 43 year old male who had little experience of MP3 players and wanted something to listen to whilst at the gym. Its a great piece of kit, the sound is truly amazing and is ideal for using whilst on the treadmill etc at the gym. I also bought an Inique leather case for it(from amazon)to stop it getting bashed about and I cannot fault it at all. The only reservation I do have is that the instruction manual supplied with the ipod is pretty useless particularly if you are new to these, but once you go on the apple website you can read the full manuals online and it soon becomes very easy to use. Definately would buy another.
Customer Rating: Summary: Ipod Just Got Better!! Comment: I cannot understand why Apple Ipods get so much negative feedback here on Amazon. In the past few years Ive owned a 20GB Ipod and now ive just bought this 8GB Ipod Nano. I was really worried abou buying one from reading some of the reviews people have left. Infact these negative reviews nearly put me off buying one altogether although I need not have worried.
When I received my Nano through the post I was blown away by its small size. It is incredible. I was also impressed by the black gun-metal finish which is a great departure from the old Ipods which now tend to look very cheap. The screen is a good size and the Nano fits perfectly in my pocket, whilst still being very sturdy so I have no fear that its going to snap in two!
The Cover Flow is super and yes the nano does tend to freeze from time to time (just like my computer) but this is not a problem. All you have to do is hold down the menu button with the middle button for ten seconds and the Nano reboots itself. Easy peasy!
Some of the reviewers here on Amazon seemed to have a problem with the sound generated from the Ipod. I cannot understand this at all. What I did was to go to settings, then volume limit, then turn volume limit all the way up. If you do this I guarantee your ear-drums will bleed!
All in all a great little Ipod, forget what the negative reviewers have said, I doubt that they even bought one. Buy it, you will not be disappointed!
Customer Rating: Summary: Simple to use & Great Fun Comment: I was updating my iPod shuffle, which I've had for some years. I decided to stick with Apple but decided to update to the 3G nano!
What can I say its fantastic, so many features that are fun to use; the Quiz is a favourite for those quiet times in the office! It is very simple to use I haven't even read any of the instructions yet and I've still managed to muddle my way through it.
I would suggest buying a power charger as connecting it to the Laptop every time you want to charge it can be a pain! The silicon covers are also great for protecting it from little scratches and knocks!
If you want a MP3 that is a little bit special then go for this...you won't regret it!

All the features of the iPod nano now come in an even more compact form ? with video functions to boot!Apple proudly presents the new and improved version of its nano player: the iPod nano, with a bold new design and a larger, brighter colour screen ? but that?s not all!The iPod nano offers a video function for viewing your favourite films in exceptional quality thanks to its unprecedented pixel count (204 dpi instead of 163 dpi for earlier Apple models). And the iPod nano continues to push the envelope for multimedia entertainment, with the ability to play video Podcasts!Even the interface has been modified to make it even more user-friendly and intuitive. The Cover Flow function, for example, displays the album cover of all the music titles stored in the player?s memory, so you can flip through your music library and find your favourite tracks quickly and easily. You?ll even be able to download games onto your iPod nano to serve as a distraction during those long commutes. It has a range of basic functional features, including a calendar, international clock and a stopwatch, too!But what is more astounding than all these features is the fact that the iPod nano is even more compact than its predecessors! But have no fear - its anodized aluminium and stainless steel body reflects the same stylish design that Apple iPods are known for, and the sound quality is still as amazing as ever! Let yourself go, with the iPod nano!
