Summary: Great camera ... but
Comment: Bought camera from Amazon at greatly reuced rate after seeing it advertised on competative site. Very impressed as this camera handles and operates as described in the advert. Well designed and feels very 'solid' in your hand. When I opened the box though, I was disapointed not to find a compatible lead for the battery charger which meant that I had to go out and buy one. Information books included are also a bit confusing, so I downloaded a relevant copy for this model from the Hitachi web site. These little things all go to making the purchese of this product a 'little' disapointing

Summary: Fantastic
Comment: What a fab camera, it fits in the palm of your hand, has a brilliant picture quality and 23 hours worth of recording time.

I bought mine from QVC it was only 180, waht a bargain.

Well worth the pennies.

Summary: Great spec and easy to use
Comment: I bought this camcorder from a different online retailer a month or so back. Great spec for a very competitive price.

First impressions are that the device is very quick and easy to use with good quality video recording and good sound recording. The only negative so far was trying to get the supplied software working on my desktop PC (something that in theory you don't need to do given you can edit your movies on the integrated harddrive and burn them to DVD all using the camcorder itself).

Initially the software wouldn't recognise the camcorder was attached. I eventually resolved this by uninstalling, reinstalling, and then connecting the camcorder and verifying the software could see it BEFORE restarting the pc as directed.

Only reason I don't give 5 stars out of 5 was due to the said supplied software letting down what is otherwise a good package.
