Customer Rating: Summary: Apache Feralbeast RC Helicopter (4 Channel) Comment: What can you say about a £60 (now £49) 4 channel RC helicopter. To be honest I wasn't expecting too much but once I had opened the box and found 8 (yes eight) AA batteries for the controller (not included) I was a convert.
It is very easy to setup and get to grips with. Bare in mind though that this is a decent sized powerful helicopter with exposed blades. This is not a kids toy. It is very well balanced and easily trimmed with the controller. The flight time is very good - easily out stripping the smaller 2-3 Channel foam based helicopters you can buy for up to £30.
If you are considering an intermediate level indoor (larger areas required to get the most out of the helicopter's speed) then don't buy the cheap foam choppers - this is FAR better value for money and is robust as well (contrary to the other reviewers post).
5 STARS!
Customer Rating: Summary: Cool toy Comment: I have recently bought one of these, and at less than £60, I had not expected too much. I have flown a similar 4 channel helicopter before, which cost a lot more and breaks with every heavy landing.
This little beast is incredibly strong, and as the rotors have a central screw holding them in place, when the rotors hit something, the fold up rather than snap. Excellent fun and good value.
Customer Rating: Summary: Make sure you can get spares before buying Comment: This is a fantastic helicopter, easy to fly and learn. Good starter for moving to more advanced models. However the blades smash easily, the rotor assembly is brittle and after about 1 hour of playing time the one plastic rotor wheel is worn already. I can't find anyone on the net with parts and you'll need them trust me. Nothing worse seeing this little fellow and not being able to fly it. Otherwise great product.

This little helicopter looks amazing and is very easy to fly. There are now a lot of twin blade helicopters on the market but none look as good as the Apache. Twin blade helicopters can been flown by anyone with minimum practice and are a great way to get into the hobby. You can have all the fun and thrills of flying a proper rc helicopter but without the hours of practice. Not to be confused with the toy helicopters though, this is a proper model with full 3D control. There is a similar two channel version on the market with very limited control but this is the better four channel one that allows you to go up and down; rotate right and left; bank left and right, and move forwards and backwards. The Apache comes complete with everything you need and even includes some spare blades and a screwdriver. The only thing required to use is 8 normal AA batteries for the controller. SPECIFICATIONS: Width: 140MM. Height: 165MM. Weight: 235g. Length: 400MM. Transmitter: FM 4 channel. Motor: 2 x 130 Brushed. Battery: Lithium Polymer 7.4V 850mAH. CONTENTS: Factory Assembled Helicopter. 4Ch Transmitter. UK AC Mains Charger. Li-Po 7.4V 850mAH. Spare Main Rotor Set. Instruction Manual. These models are NOT TOYS. If you have no experience with these sort of models you will need to do some research on how to tune and set your engine and also how to check it before use. We will offer advice and help to newcomers as much as possible but are unable to accept returns for items that have been damaged by incorrect use, from customers who are unable to adjust their models or from customers who have not fully checked their models before use.
