Customer Rating: Summary: Buy at your peril Comment: My player has broken down after 4-5 weeks of minimal use, luckily amazon were very good and immediately sent out another, alas, the problem has recurred (none of my DVDs load, and the screen remains blank), am now awaiting a refund from amazon, buy at your peril!
Customer Rating: Summary: 1 Only because ther is no 0!!! Comment: I've now had 3 of these all with exactly the same problem - they randomly freeze while watching and you have to remove the disc and put it back in to get it going again. This has been a real downer on 2 holidays now where we have had long journeys! Philips deny there is a problem with the player, but 3 out 3, call me cynical but I think there is a problem here. I recomend you try a different player.
Customer Rating: Summary: Brilliant Item Comment: This is a 100% item Packed well arrived quickly, my granddaughter uses it all the time in the car with no problems, good price for the screen size all round very good item
Customer Rating: Summary: Picture colour is a problem Comment: The DVD unit works fine, except I can't get a decent colour. The settings don't really provide much assistance - you either remove green or remove red depending on which setting you increase/decrease ... unless someone can tell me what setting they use, I'd avoid.
Customer Rating: Summary: Picture quality needs work Comment: I bought this about two weeks ago, it seems you're gambling whichever protable DVD player you choose these days. The player itself works fine, I got the region to multi and everything. Popped a dvd in and immediately every few seconds the screen goes dark, and it stays that way throughout most of whatever you're watching. And this was for all the dvd's I watched, so it's not the DVD. I'm highly disappointed and I'm not sure what to do next. I'll see if I can return it for another one, hopefully they aren't all like that.
