Summary: Standard envelopes 110mm x 220mm
Comment: This printer is no good at all... A4 paper is OK but how about envelope to put this paper in ? No sir, tray will not take standard evnelope 110mm x 220mm. Who design this printer? I got it from Amazon for printing hundreds and thousands of these envelopes.... its no good to me so D92 is going back to Amazon next week. I am not blaming printing quality but its very very slow.

Summary: Good, low cost printer
Comment: I use Windows XP and have not had the problems with the D92 many people have reported. The printer is high usage on the black ink but when that runs low there is a facility to print black text using a combination of the colours. For £30, it's a superb printer for use with my laptop. This is my 3rd Epson printer and have been satisfied with them all.

Summary: Good printer - but ink monitoring doesn't work?
Comment: I have had 2 D92 Ink Jet Printers purchased at Staples but neither of them actually monitors the ink levels.

Where the four indicators should be of the 3 colours + black, nothing shows. It's all just white!

I am using WinXp. I have used the supplied Cd and also downloaded the latest driver from Epson's own Web Site. Neither seems to work. In the Maintenance Tab, two buttons are greyed out.

Is there is fix for this please?

Summary: very good value for money
Comment: i'm surprised at poor reviews. i am doing a fine art degree and wanted a cheap printer to use with my laptop. i have been printing pictures from my digital camera on a daily basis for the last 6 months with very few problems (i'm printing out maybe 20-30 images a day). the quality (at lowest picture setting on ordinary paper) is perfectly adequate for my research note recording. the only problem i've had has been using compatible cartridges - not all are appropriately chipped which then prevents the printer from recognising them. however at correct settings the ink consumption doesn't seem huge and newest compatibles advertised as chipped seem ok. i would definitely recommend this as a cheap readily portable and relatively inexpensive to run printer for anyone needing to produce a lot of pictures on a low budget.

Summary: Great little printer for a student! Bargain at £30
Comment: I ordered one of these at Christmas after I broke my last Epson changing the ink. I shopped around for a printer that I could use for general purposes and I have to say its fantastic! I am a student so wanted something cheap that would cover my printing needs of essays and good quality images every now and again.

I must say I have had no problems with ink monitoring like others seem to have. The ink monitor gives very clear levels of remaining ink and its easy to see when your going to need to install replacements. There is a warning that pops up for every print when a cartridge is 25% full or less. Installation and cartridge replacement is very simple. I installed the printer in minutes and got cracking. The Epson inks that came with the printer gave very nice results although they did seem to run out very quickly. I agree that official cartridges are expensive at £6.99 or something. However I have been using compatible cartridges from ebay at £6.50 per set of 4 inks. They work just as good! You must make sure that the cartridges are compatible though as they need a new chip if the printer was produced after April 2007.

The print quality is great for £30. I use it for everything now from printing pictures to CD labels etc. As long as you select the appropriate print and paper settings (which is very easy) you will get a great print.

It is fairly slow and yes it can be a little noisy but let's be honest at £30 it's a steal. If you're a student it's ideal. If you're looking for a general use printer that you don't use that often it's ideal. If you're looking for an office printer for everyday heavy use then look elsewhere.

I would very highly recommend this printer. It has been a pleasure to use... so far...
