Customer Rating: Summary: Absolutely Fantastic Comment: Intempo IDS05 B Speaker and Docking Station - Black
Do not hesitate to buy this.Bought this for my 18 year old daughter to use with her 8 gig Nano and as soon as we cranked it up the sound from this little beauty was amazing and could handle any type of music thrown at it.I was more than impressed and would recommend it without hesitation.Buy it.Also has a great sub woofer which adds so much to the sound.Great.
Customer Rating: Summary: Excellent for the money Comment: Bought this item so I could listen to my 160GB Classic iPod in the bedroom and was pleasantly suprised. For such a small item it gives really decent sound and is on a par or better than my 'Pure' DAB radio. OK it's never going to compare with the sytems priced around the £100 plus mark or Hi-Fi, but at £45 you can't go wrong. It's reasonably portable too and comes with a 'Euro' adapter (although you can't run it on batteries). I can only assume that the low scoring reviews were actually faulty items.
Customer Rating: Summary: Not disappointed Comment: I listen to a wide range of music and am very particular about sound quality. I was, considering the price and size of this unit, expecting to be disappointed.
Quite the opposite. Doubt you'd get a better quality anywhere for this price! The subwoofer is exceptional for its size and the unit has plenty of umph!
I have also found it handy to pack in a weekend case.
The the only slight problem is a transient distortion of treble on full whack.
Well worth the money.
Customer Rating: Summary: NOT COMPATIBLE WITH 3RD GENERATION NANO Comment: I recently purchased these speakers which are fine with my 30gb ipod, but don't work with my 3rd generation video nano - I was very dissapointed to discover they also have damaged my ipod - many of the songs now jump or cut out.
Customer Rating: Summary: Terrible- look elsewhere Comment: I personally can not understand the raves reviews that these speakers have recieved from other buyers. I only had them for an hour before I bundled them back in the box for a return and refund from Amazon. I found them only to be capable of a distortive and terrible sound. The so called sub woofer speaker on the rear of the unit, clapped and rattled even at low volume. I tried adjusting the bass and treble to obtain better sound, but to no success, I just knew that I wouldnt be able to live with them. I wanted them for a bed side unit, and in the end have bought an Itrip to be able to tune my FM radio to the output of my 80gb Ipod classic. Thats ok ish.... but I think I will be investing in a good pair of active speakers for under the bed instead.

How good is it? With two crisp-sounding treble speakers flanking your iPod (any model will fit in the dock, naturally), and a mini bass woofer chugging away at the back, the iDS-05 can cope with anything from Ed Harcourt to happy hardcore. Why would you spend more? There are some really high-quality systems availabke from luxury brands such as Bose, but this little black box makes paying top dollar for a dock unnecessary.
