Customer Rating: Summary: Get what you pay for I suppose... Comment: Due to the apparent shortage of official Nintendo Wii component cables, I thought I'd try this much cheaper alternative (roughly £10 instead of the £25 for the official ones).
As I had feared though, this set turned out to be budget-level cables. They look and feel cheap (in comparison to my Xbox 360 ones anyway) and more importantly, seem to produce an image worse than standard definition (and yes, I changed the Wii settings to support them). While the Wii menu looked sharper, in-game graphics looked really jaggy and textures looked kind of distorted, instead of the greater definition I was expecting.
Not only that, but every few minutes the picture would temporarily cut out, leaving me essentially playing in the dark. This is probably a fault with the product, but on top of the ropey visuals this was a major bummer.
To conclude, if you absolutely need a Wii component cable (perhaps not having any alternative connections spare on your TV or monitor) and you're not too bothered about the graphics (say if you are buying for your family's Wii) then this will probably do. But, if you are expecting a decent graphical bump like I was, avoid this one and keep hunting for those Nintendo official cables.
