Customer Rating: Summary: SO frustrating Comment: This TV looked to have EVERYTHING i wanted, DVD, USB, Freeview all for a great price.
Got it home, set up really easy, great picture, great sound, really easy to use!
Then got the rudest awakening at 3am!!! Literally!! The TV came alive all on its on and started blasting out the sound from a TV Channel, no picture though.
THis happens EVERY morning at approx 3am and nothing, except removing the power stops it from happening - Grundig have no solution for this, instead, their engineers are "are looking in to it" as apparently its happening with lots of this model!!
Also, the standby light is an electric blue colour and lights up my bedroom at night!
All in all, a great tv for during the day, INCREDIBLY frustrating at night time!!
Customer Rating: Summary: everything I need! Comment: works brilliantly through Hdmi when connected with my playstation. Most impressed, my mate has the samsung pebble which is lovely, except this TV is light and can be carried around with little effort! Very happy with my purchase and have no regrets, although being in front of the screen does make a difference!
Customer Rating: Summary: Very Good Value LCD and DVD Combo Comment: I was nearly put off by previous reviews until I saw this TV on the top shelf in Tesco next to a Toshiba and a Sony TV, they were all hard to view at such a angle, so it's not a Grundig specific issue but LCDs in general.
Having opted to buy this set I am very pleased. In my view you can't go wrong with it. Setting up was simplicity itself. Auto tuned Normal TV and Then Digital TV and the picture quality is excellent. The DVD player happens to be Region-free and plays my Region 1 DVDs with no problem, likewise with DVDS recorded from my DVD Recorder. HDMI interface works great with my sons XBOX. The TV is not all that heavy and has a very quick tuner. It also has a USB port and SD memory card slot a definite bonus. The only minor complaint is the one channel TV guide, but no big deal, flick through the channels anyway, and see now/next.
Ended up getting a second one of these Son and Daughter both delighted.
Customer Rating: Summary: Very versatile and good value Comment: I bought it having seen it in a shop. Yes, the veiwing angle is not the best, but I am not likely to want to watch a programme side way or from the top or bottom! And, the addtition of a DVD/CD/USB unit is very useful to me. Having had the TV for a month, I am more than satisfied with it; it even handles weaker signals like Channel 4 and ITV better - with little or no pixel break-up - than the other far more expensive LCD TV I also have. Well, I just ordered another one.
Customer Rating: Summary: NOT UP TO GRUNDIG STANDARDS Comment: FIRSTLY THIS SET HAS A VERY LIMITED VIEWING ANGLE IF YOU ARE NOT RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE SCREEN THE PICTURE DISAPPEARS WITHIN A FEW FEET {I PUT MINE UP ON THE BEDROOM WALL WITH A FIXED WALL BRACKET THEN I THOUGHT I WOULD LIE ON THE BED TO WATCH THE FOOTBALL. NO CHANCE WHEN I LAY DOWN I COULDNT SEE THE PICTURE SO NOW I WILL HAVE TO PURCHASE A BRACKET THAT TILTS AND SWIVELS
ONE OTHER FAILING IS THAT THE EPG GUIDE ONLY DISPLAYS ONE CHANNEL AT A TIME NOT LIKE OTHER ONES THAT DISPLAY ALL THE CHANNELS HOWEVER I HAVE BOUGHT IT AND I AM STUCK WITH IT BUT MY ADVICE TO WOULDBE PURCHASERS IS TO LOOK AT THE DAEWOO MODEL WITH THE SAME SPEC AS THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE PURCHASED IT SEEM QUITE HAPPY WITH IT
HOPE THIS HELPS
