Summary: Very helpful
Comment: I struggled and struggled to find an easy to use, with good technology cheap sat nav. I came across this one which is really simple to use. It has everything i wanted without the stuiped expensive add ons that your not really going to use unless you have no cd player as it dosnt have an mp3 player (orbluetooth)

Pros:
Warns you of speed cameras
easy to see screen - sunlight doesnt seem to effect
good pre warnings before turning off
caculates detours quickly if you go wrong
Finds places to eat, atm, petrolstations, shopping areas in your surrounding area

Cons:
Sometimes takes you a slightly longer route
On one roundabout it misjudged the exits
doesnt come with a indoor charger
would be good if they had the voice say what road name to turn on instead of just left or right

More pros but to many to write, glad i choose this sat nav, i recommend it specially as im a newish driver it gave me more confidence!

Summary: Just the job!!!
Comment: I have always been the type of person who thought reading a map is an ok method but i have recently been persuaded to the idea of buying a Sat Nav so to perhaps make my life a bit easier. What a nightmare it has been!!
I made sure i did my research but when i realised how many there are out there i could feel a definate migraine coming on.
I wanted something that's easy to use, something you can basically switch on and go. Well after alot of review reading (boring!!) i found the one. This Garmin is just the thing and is so easy to use, hey if i can use it then anyone can.
It is a nice looking device and ok it doesn't come with a home charger i know but they are easy to come by and at a reasonable price.
I couldn't be happier with this Sat Nav it does what it says on the tin and might i add i'm quite difficult to please. Wouldn't be without it now.

Summary: No use to caravanners
Comment: I bought this sat nav for the express purpose of using it for our caravan holidays. I read all the reviews for this and other makes of sat nav and as I am on a budget decided to give this one a go. Nowhere in any product description did it state the options for mode of travel - car, coach, lorry etc. and when I used this to programme in a journey which we take regularly to test it, it immediately took me onto unsuitable country roads for a caravan. Garmin support were unhelpful when I contacted them about this. Please make sure that when you purchase a sat nav, if you want it for caravanning, to check that it will support this option.

Summary: Good basic sat nav
Comment: This was a good buy at £99. Only a couple of drawbacks. When it calculates the fastest route it doesnt take into account that dual carriageways are quicker than country lanes I found it is best to drive as far on your route as you can and then put in the destination when you are not familiar with the roads. Also in towns it will tell you to turn right and show one turn on the right when there is in fact another road close to the same turn but it doesnt show up on the screen my advice is to use the map screen in conjunction with the spoken directions. A good feature is the co-ordinates, if you go to google earth and find your destination such as a reservoir etc find the co-ordinates and put them in the sat nav it will take you straight there. Finally it doesnt recognise house names. Apart from these minor problems its great
