Customer Rating: Summary: Great beginners helicopter. Comment: Don't be fooled by the price, this is a great little helicopter with excellent vertical speed and despite the lack of aileron control has good forward speed. Torque reaction is quite strong on start-up so I like to hold the tail-fin (just for a second) or launch it from my hand - it's quite safe and lets you hold the heli in a stable hover before gently letting go.
It is RTF (ready to fly) straight out of the box but trimming the tail is a piece of cake. If you had fun with the Pico size heli the 603 is a brilliant step up before a Collective Pitch heli but don't be tempted to fly it indoors - it's too fast.
Lastly, unlike some much more expensive electric helicopters the Syma 603 is almost indestructible - though parts are available if you overdo it. Great fun.
