Summary: Garbage
Comment: God alone knows what everyone sees in this. Records no better than the movie function on a decent digital camera, and the software with it is problematic as well. Yes, it does convert .mov to Windows, but only to view - you can't save it to .mpg, so you can't edit in any software that comes with a PC. You'll also not be able to see thumbnails of the video, and if you change the file name so that you can remember what the video is the camera won't see it, so you can't play it back via an HD TV (which is surely the point of an HD camcorder).
There's a video editor that comes on the CD, but it refuses to accept the Serial Number that's on the box, so I can't even install it!
If you're the sort of person who loves faffing around with conversion software in an attempt to get this into a format you can actually use, then you'll have a ball. If you've got a life & you just wanted a camera you could take half decent shots with & view on DVD/PC in no time, avoid this like the plague.

Summary: Not a technical but a budget solution for your needs.
Comment: 1. Had some problems using a 8gb sdhc, it jammed and eventually does not recognize this card. No problems using 1gb, 2gb, and 4gb sdhc though.

2. You already know that from the other reviews but mic quality is "considerable". Though, if you ask me, don't ask for EVERYTHING since its the cheapest HD cam you can get. Plus, you can find useful tips on how to fix it yourself in the internet.

3. It is compact and easy to use, you can take it everywhere since it fits in your pocket... and its HD :)

4. ...but ahd-300 is out and it said to be better (fixed mic, 1080 instead of 720) despite similar price

Summary: Great value for money, unusual and beautiful image quality
Comment: The camera is very very simple, the optics are not sophisticated (two positions, close up and normal) and there is no anti-shake facility, but for some reason I really like this camera and I love the movies it makes. For a start it's such good value for money. The battery never seems to run out at the wrong time. Unlike the much more expensive Sanyo, it uses standard USB cables, so no paranoia about losing that 'special' cable. The colours are wonderful - strangely saturated and almost filmic in quality. The menu system is completely intuitive. The camera is lightweight and easy to use. And if you use a Mac then transferring movies to your computer and editing them are incredibly straightforward. But the best thing about the Aiptek is the quality of the images - different and somehow more 'arty' than more expensive cameras

Summary: excellent
Comment: I am very pleased with this camera its so simple to use and the video comes out great as does the pictures. Easy to hold and small enough to fit in the pocket. It starts up quick and being able to fit 60min of hd video on a 2gb sd card is fantastic.Converting the MOV format in Windows Vista is no problem with the software provided. The only drawback i had is taking photos in bad lighting using the flash, the flash takes time to reload, but all in all its a very good camera

Summary: this product deserves no less then 5 stars!its amazing and so teeny!
Comment: This is perfect its soo cute and stylish! it can fit in your pocket and it can take some great videos! i seriously question the other reviewers who said it was 4 stars or less! i cant put it down! iv been recording everything since it arrived. The seller who sold this item to me got it to me soo fast i was surprised. i expected to come next week since i ordered it on monday this week. i recieved it yesterday(wednesday , today is thursday.) it came well packaged and it came with no damage to the product. Oh and yes this camcorder does have a zoom on it it has a tiny joystick that you push up to zoom and down to zoom out.
