Customer Rating: Summary: great value Comment: When you look at the spec on this and then at other similar priced laptops this really is good value. delivery was super fast and it looks like a quality product. Worked straight out of the box but it did take about an hour to make the reccommended recovery discs in case you ever need to boot it up this way. I used two DVD's for this - if you use CD's it will use up to 9 discs.
One feature on the desktop (which makes it parent & child friendly) is an icon to set the laptop up for kids. I don't need this feature but I reckon if you're a parent and your young kids are going to use it, it is a time saver and a comfort to follow some sort of wizard to set it up for safety before the young 'uns use it, rather than figuring it all out for yourself. Very pleased with this purchase and Amazon doing well again as the seller.
Customer Rating: Summary: Amazing Comment: the best Laptop for your money, Great looks, everything you could want, SUPER SUPER FAST.
i've got Vista Buisness, but i would stay with XP, as you gain .5gb, of memory if you need the speed, but some of the perks are really usefull.
Get it. TOP LAPTOP
Customer Rating: Summary: What a Laptop Comment: This is by far the best laptop you can buy for the price. The preformance is of another standerd. The best buy to date
Customer Rating: Summary: Very Happy!!!! Comment: the laptop is a dream! quick, built in with the most modern software.
really reconmend it.
only one problem it wouldn't connect to the internet (wireless) straight away, it wouldn't detect it. i had to ring up the help line (that as provided with the laptop) and they sorted it out within 10 minutes. (apparently happens a lot)
BUT apart from that, this laptop for the price is definatly goood!!!!
Customer Rating: Summary: Excellent! Comment: As my old laptop decided it couldnt make it into 2008 and pretty much died on me, i bought this one a few days ago (end of december). It arrived very quickly (despite the new year) and has so far been brilliant! It runs perfectly, is quick, efficient, didnt even blink when i transfered my endless amount of music onto it and handles games (well, The Sims 2 and such like) fine! I'm actually amazed at how good it is, especially considering the price!
The only glitch i had was that it needed a hp update to connect to my sky wireless modem, which took me a while to figure out, but once i downloaded the update (2mins max!) it detected my network and the network of everyone within about 5 houses of mine!
So if your considering getting one, my advice is do, you most certainly wont be disappointed!!
