Customer Rating: Summary: Good picture quality Comment: The unit looks so slim and compact. All DVDs and Divx CDs played so well without any freezing and skips. It has read all my Divx Cds that did not work with my Philips DVD recorder so this little one has kicked out the Philips and has taken a main position next to my 37" LCD TV in the living room. I am quite satisfied with picture qulality when upscaled to 720P or 1080i. Highly Recommended for such value !
Customer Rating: Summary: Dissapointed Comment: Had this unit for less than 2 months. I have only played about 2 dozen films on it during this period. It now refuses to play any disk whatsoever whether it be audio or movie. It just keeps on displaying "Bad Disk" Very dissapointed as it had good reviews. I could have got a Sumvision with similar spec for about ten pounds cheaper which is what I will now probably end up doing now.
Customer Rating: Summary: Unreliable Comment: This is now the second one of these I am having to return to Amazon. It keeps reading regular new DVDs as being "BAD DISC". It's really slow to load. The first one broke within days - wouldn't even properly turn on.
I don't rate this.
Customer Rating: Summary: Super little player Comment: Bought this to replace a philips which was a dud, the picture is excellent on a 32" hd tv. My only problem was when I connected it with an HDMI cable,my tv showed "out of range" on the screen, so I had to connect a scart lead to get a picture. I was then able to go into the menu and change it from RGB to HD output, I was then able to remove the scart and set it up. I would like to end by thanking Amazon for the quick refund for the dud philips
Customer Rating: Summary: Excellent picture quality Comment: The player is slim and looks cool with charcoal black color. So easy to navigate all menus including upscaling resolution thru HDMI output that is set-up in one of the menu screens. One touch HDMI button on the remote makes the setting between HDMI output and other video outputs easily changeable. The picture quality thru whatever HDMI resolution is superb and could not be inferior to other branded stuffs. This player could be converted into multi-region setting ; Keep the DVD tray open, then input "9999 + 9".
