Customer Rating: Summary: works fine in my Imac (aluminium 2007 model) Comment: I ordered one to upgrade my imac. Well packaged upon delivery. Backed up my imac using time machine, then swapped out the (hitachi) 250GB drive and inserted this one. Using the leopard install disc i formatted the hard drive and restored from the backup.
No noticeable difference in speed or noise (still quiet and fast), but now i have 730GB free!
You may not want to risk your warranty to upgrade your imac yourself, and i definately recommend having a second person to help when removing the screen...but actually it is was quite easy. Just search for "aluminium imac hard drive upgrade".
Customer Rating: Summary: Great value hard drive, a definite purhcase for media computers! Comment: I bought this hard drive for £94.99 and that is great value because it works out at just over 10p a gigabyte. It is 931gb when formatted and it runs very smooth and always cool. It is also a very quiet hard drive. I am using this as a second hard drive to store all of my media files, and I had it installed and working within 5 minutes out of the box. Brilliant piece of kit and a must have for all of you media lovers out there.
Customer Rating: Summary: amazed at the price !!! Comment: Bought two of these. Excellent value for money. Super quiet operation. Energy efficient. No problems formating (Mac or Windows).
