Summary: Excellent Home Cinema on a budget
Comment: Bought this projector primarily to set up a home cinema in the spare room.
I have it connected to my Sony DAV-DZ260 - 5.1 ch - DVD Home Cinema System - Black which has HDMI output. At the DSub input on the projector, I have connected a HDfury 1080P HDMI to VGA Converter Transcoder and can now link the DVD player and Projector with a HDMI to HDMI lead which gives me full 720 x 1080 HD picture display. Far superior to using a SCART converter.
Result = Fantastic picture and sound (Home Cinema on a budget).
Hope this is of use to someone.

Summary: remarkable quality
Comment: Bought a dell projector a few years back for 3 times this price that was of equal quality, this one worked straight out of the box with remarkable result, excelent film quality, no artifacts that I could see. Highly recomended.

Summary: More than happy
Comment: I didn't expect too much from this projector at the price, however, I've been pleasantly surprised at the quality and brightness of images. I have a x-box 360 connected via a d-sub (VGA) connection and the pictures are extremely detailed and very sharp with no blocking, both games & DVD look superb at approx. 72".
If you want to get the best out of this unit and only have a stand-a-lone DVD player, then purchase a scart to VGA adapter cable (available on Amazon)to take advantage of the higher refresh retes available via the D-Sub input(You will see a marked improvement over the composite connection).

I had to purchase a VGA switching unit to allow connection of both my x-box 360 and PC via the sole VGA input on the projector. But apart from the inconvenience of switching between the two inputs, I'm extremely happy with the purchase of this unit and would recommend this projector to anyone who doesn't have HDMI or 1080P equipment like myself. All in all a brilliant projector at this price point.

I hope this helps.

Comment: Well what can i say like many who have bought this i was a bit sceptical at first but took the plunge based on other reviews and can honestly say so far so good ive hooked up my sky+ box via svideo cable and this gives a bright colourful image,i am just using a plain white blind from wilkinson and it does a great job giving me a 80"image from 10ft,the only reason i havent gave it 5 stars is i dont now how to rig up my dvd player to it yet but i can watch dvds via the pc but i dont have 5.1 channel from my pc,probably need an amp maybe not maybe im just doing something wrong so if anyone can shed light on this matter please post up.I wouldhighly recommend this pj to anyone on a budget.Update,i figured out how to play a dvd player through it using video cable and scart adapter i could nt belivie the answer to my question was looking right at me,image quality is superb so ill give it 5 stars now.
