Summary: Brilliant value for money
Comment: I purchased this laptop for my girlfiend mainly for personal use as she likes to shop and listen to music online etc. The laptop was eveything she could want and more, its easy to use looks great and feels well built. My only problems with the laptop was the software that came with it, i suggest you spend an evening getting rid of the preinstalled rubbish on there and download some anti spyware programs eg spybot or ad-aware. After i did a few cleanups on the sytem it ran alot smoother and faster i also suggest you download CCLEANER and maybe a 4gig scandisk to use as a readyboost feature incase things get a bit to much for the laptop. Overall its a great budget laptop if your just looking for easy cheap computing. Oh and one more thing GET A PROPER VIRUS SOFTWARE INSTALLED this only comes with a trial so will need 1 eventually!!!

Comment: I have just had a very frustrating time with this product.
It would connect to my modem, but would not let me connect to the internet. I spent a lot of money on expensive technical helplines, because Acer told me it must be a software problem- nothing to do with them. The helplines fiddled with the IP address configuration, but could not solve the problem.
Eventually 2 friends who are both IT professionals independently spent hours on the thing.
Problem seems to be a DNS gateway thing. But we can not sort it out.
Vista does not inpire confidence either!
It will now be returned to Amazon, and i will stay well away from Acer.

Comment: I had received my laptop after few days - very quick and save delivery - it`s very good, and i was happy))))0 until i sarted to work on pc))) - THIS MOUSE MAKES ME CRAZY!!! )))) - i don`t know what is wrong with laptop`s mouse - she jump as she wants, very hard to work with this jumping thing inside laptop))). I don`t know what to do - wista is very big - 8 Gb - but Wista can`t tell me what is wrong with my mouse!!!
Second thing - it`s Wista - Wista is not good for this laptop - he works slowly because of Wista. Windows XP is the best and not so big!!!
I like that in laptop is 2 disc - c and d, but because of Wista my disc c is full for 8 GB!!!!
And i don`t understand why my HDD must be 80 GB, but i see only 62 GB.
But laptop is good for this price. Only mouse don`t want to work good.

Summary: All laptops should Aspire to this
Comment: I have just received this today from Amazon. It is a great little laptop. Not the top end of the spectrum of course but it does everything i want. The case feels strong, the screen is bright and clear, the sound is great and goes up very high. The keyboard is sensitive but not overly so and the touchpad is very responsive.
My only gripe is the size of the icons on the desktop are really large as if you have reduced the resolution to play an old game. I can live with that though as the rest is tip top.
