Customer Rating: Summary: Check One Out In Person Comment: First, the demographics for this device are the typical teenager or college student. Sure, it looks cool and is about the size of your hand, but its size is not necessarily an advantage. It is easily charged and set up with a convenient CD package and a blue tooth USB stick.
You can text, play and watch TV/Movies from a distance (up to 30 feet), but that's if you have perfect vision. I did like the way the media-center instantly pops up and the mouse scroll is easy to work. If I want to text or write an Email, I found the keyboard to be just too small and the set-up is slightly different than a typical keyboard. If you are good at text messaging on a phone, you won't have a problem here. You can change the keyboard to be a `directional pad' or a `touch pad', which is kind of convenient.
As far as viewing anything on your television or in your stereo, you would need a direct cable connection from your PC to your entertainment center. Most people now have a mini-stereo system on their PC or a HTPC anyway. The battery life is plenty long enough and I just keep mine plugged in constantly. Like most Logitech items, the look is sleek and handsome, although the smoked plastic cover could easily be broken or cracked. I see this as a fun toy for teens or people in college or early twenties. Its interesting to see that so many modern items are getting smaller and smaller while the `boomers' group is getting older with less nimble fingers and poorer eyesight. I would inspect one in person before buying.
Customer Rating: Summary: I LOVE MY MINI Comment: I have a Wacom graphics table that takes up a lot of space on my desktop and there is no room for my standard keyboard. WHAT SHOULD I DO? buy a new table that has a keyboard support or wait a minute!. whats this!. Logitech diNovo Mini wireless keyboard. I order it with know hesitation. I have had this device for a few mouths now so i am use to it and i could never go back to a standard keyboard. I recommend the dinovo mini to anyone who has a graphics tablet.
Customer Rating: Summary: Brilliant - does exactly what it says on the box Comment: Compatible so far with: (that I have found!)
My phone - N95
My PS3 - as a keyboard - not as a controller (just to follow up on other reviews - it doesn't say anywhere that I have read that it should replace your controller, PS buttons etc)
My PC - Perfectly
This is a perfect keyboard for use with your TV as a monitor - missing some keys F1 to F12 but if you are using this with your TV how often will you need those keys - the software that comes with the keyboard is useful also as you can adjust the speed of the touch pad - which I have to say works very well.
In relation to battery life I got this last week and out of the box it says 9 days charge remaining.
Only issue i have had so far is having previously connected it to my phone and then switching on my PC - it picked up the phone first as it was the first 'live device' found. A little quirky to get connected back to the PC but there is a 'find' button on the dongle and another on the bottom of the keyboard
Overall 10 out of 10 for this and would recommend to anyone that uses their tv as a media centre.
Customer Rating: Summary: Nearly as good as it should be Comment: Lovely little keyboard that you can leave on the coffee table with the other remotes. It does the PC bit very well, but less useful on the PS3 than the original Sony remote (missing home key and std PS keys).
The keyboard backlight changes colour when you switch between "touchpad" and "direction" modes. I suppose this makes it easier to know which mode it is in.
For such a new bluetooth device I was very disappointed that it cannot handle multiple device switching. e.g.: you cannot easily switch between PC & PS3 mode on the fly. There is a little switch under the back cover where you can switch between PC (hardwired link to supplied USB adapter) and PS3 (normal bluetooth). I set mine up on the PC, flicked the switch and connected to PS3. That works fine, but switching back to PC mode did not re-establish the link to the USB adapter (I had to unplug the USB dongle first). On the plus side you could probably use this with many normal bluetooth devices without the USB adapter.
There is a groove under the battery cover where you can store the bluetooth adapter when you are using in PS3 mode.
Still it beats having a full-size keyboard hanging around the TV just for when you want to type a message or do a quick google search on PS3, and is really great for the media PC hooked up to TV. I think I will keep it.
Customer Rating: Summary: PS3 Compatable? Comment: I saw the mini and knowing it was compatable with the PS3 pre-ordered. Now having rec'd the MINI I am extremely dissapointed. Given they state it's compatability with the PS3 one would expect there to be the buttons associated with the PS3 controller. No!!!!!! At this moment in time, I cannot turn the PS3 off via the keyboard or use half of the functions with the PS3. I have no doubt if used in conjunction with a PC the keyboard is 1st class. However given Logitech, have branded this as PS3 compatable, it's a very expensive KEYBOARD only which is fine if you do not want to be able to use the multimedia functionality the keyboard is supposed to offer.
